No Game Of Thrones for Best TV Drama is utterly ridiculous, especially when the bloody NEWSROOM got a nod.

I was watching last nights Modern Family earlier and it really has become one of the least funny comedies on TV, certainly the worst out of the ones I watch on a regular basis. Can it PLEASE stop getting all the awards love now.

Will be watching the Globes just for Amy though.

Well they were both produced as part of S1 (episode 6 and 7 in production order) and it definitely feels like they were meant to air in line with all that stuff, especially when in episode 5 of S2 they mentioned Dean Cain being on it too, and James was surprised, yet we had already had the whole dressing room thing last series. [/over analysing]

Episode 6 and 11 actually. Episode 7 was 1x06  Next ep is also a Season 1 leftover.

This week and next week, though, we were meant to get newer episodes titled 'Mean Girls...' and 'The Leak...' http://thefutoncritic.com/showatch/dont-tr...nt-23/listings/ but they were replaced. They obviously want to get old episodes out of the way.

Scandal UP AGAIN to a 2.7! (though there was some football shit AS ALWAYS so it might get adjusted down a bit)

5.4 The Big Bang Theory

4.2 Two And A Half Men

3.1 Grey's Anatomy

3.0 Person of Interest

2.7 Scandal

2.4 X Factor

2.3 Elementary

2.0 Glee

1.2 Last Resort

1.2 Vampire Diaries

1.2 Take It All

1.1 Up All Night (8.30)

0.9 Up All Night (8.00)

0.9 Rock Centre

0.6 Beauty And The Beast

I hope Scandal holds. It was pre-empted in the 4th biggest TV market but last week it was the 6th biggest and still held so you can't really judge. Such great momentum.

Finals

4.1 Two And A Half Men

2.9 Person of Interest

2.9 Grey's Anatomy

2.4 Scandal

1.3 Vampire Diaries

1.0 Last Resort

Oh and  at NBC

NO MAD MEN. That's utterly ridiculous, it may have been the best season yet.

Well I cannot comment on that having not watched it, I did read a few people being less than chuffed with it though (who adored the previous seasons) but really the final 3 episodes of Game Of Thrones S2 are only challenged by S2 of Homeland as the best TV of the year.

Breaking Bad!

An average season of Mad Men is still better than 95% of everything else on TV!

To the surprise of about 5 of the most avid fans, TNT have cancelled Leverage (after 5 seasons). The Walking Dead has been renewed for a 4th season and Psych has been renewed for an 8th season.

Huge fat NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :'( But I read they kind of wrapped things up with the last episode (that is about to air next week) so it's good they didn't just leave the plot open.

HOWEVER not explaining the whole MYSTERIOUS Hardison/Nate dialogue at the beginning of season 5 is kind of weird...

Psych getting renewed is a great news though (and TWD was obviously getting a 4th season so no surprise at all).

Oh and Burn Notice getting a 7th season is great news too (but this fact was announced like a month ago). Absolutely incredible show. The most action-packed TV show currently on air except for maybe The Walking Dead.
The only weird thing about The Walking Dead is that (another) the showrunner has departed. No episode order announced either.. going to guess AMC want 22.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo at Leverage being axed! Such a great show.

More Burn Notice however is outstanding news.

666 Park Avenue is being replaced by new episodes of Apartment 23 and Happy Endings for 3 weeks in January (6-13-20). These airings are in addition to their regular Tuesday episodes. :o ABC plans to air the '666' episodes this summer.

Apartment 23 and Happy Endings getting burnt off then, two new episodes a week, including a Saturday showing... GOODBYE!

In other news How I Met Your Mother has been renewed for a ninth and most likely final season. I am not sure how long they can drag this out for, I used to love this show, I now kind of watch it out of habit. They seem determined to destroy Robin during this season and last season as well.

  • 2 weeks later...

NBC have cut Revolution down to 20 episodes this season because it would have run into June otherwise - it only comes back at the end of March. They've also cut Deception down to 11 episodes, though I think that probably has more to do with the fact they have no faith in it.

Necessary Roughness has been renewed for a 3rd Season by USA too.
