As I mentioned before I have decided to carry on short-term but in a reduced capacity.

I will still make any additions and corrections however I will only be checking the first 2-3 weeks of the schedule (time dependent) and I can't guarantee that there will be an update every week.

I am still looking for someone to take over so if anyone is interested please drop me a PM and I will talk you through what's involved.

Thanks

ManicKangaroo

Do we know exactly when Dappy is releasing his single. He should really wait until next week as it could secure a #1, but will be absolutely trounced by Example if he releases tomorrow.

If his song isn't strong enough to closely challenge Example, then why would it be any more successful the week after?

At least we're finally getting to the interesting part of the year where albums are concerned. :)

By this looks of this, there's no significant challenge to Ellie! :cheer:

According to the Sunday Mirror, Little Mix's album is called DNA. The second single is the title track. Both will be released in November.
Music Week stated that Michael Buble will be re-releasing his christmas album with additional tracks later this year.

In that case, I stand corrected when I say it won't be returning to the Top 10.

Don't bet on it, Babs's last album went to number one, although Ellie could well pip her to number one

Yeah, but with sales of 27k. I'm sure Ellie Goudling will easily beat that. And Barbra's new album Release Me is a compilation of unreleased and rare tracks (i.e something which only her fans will be bothered about).

Ellie's album will easily be #1. Her closest challenger will be Muse from the previous week and they're going to have an enormous sales dip in week 2.

The #1 albums are very easy to call for the next month, as I said a couple of weeks ago. The Killers next week, then Mumford & Sons, Muse, Ellie Goulding. Less straightforward after that but I'd guess Leona Lewis, Lady Antebellum/Taylor Swift (that'll be one awful top 2 if it happens), Calvin Harris, Robbie Williams (JLS settling for a third #2 in a row - they should stop releasing in the direct path of TT/Robbie).

Unrelated: Pitbull's new album is called 'Swagged Out'? Really?

For me that'd be a dream top 2!

I'm so looking forward to the album chart this week. It wouldn't surprise me if P!nk was actually number one, but I think The Killers are more likely due to them being much bigger album sellers. Depending on when Try is released, I could see P!nk doing a Rihanna Loud, and debut at #2 but reach number one in January.

Lady Antebellum's is a Christmas album, it won't be anywhere near the top 2

I won't start posting the Christmas Cash-in's (i.e re-released to con buyers out of more money) until October

Dean Piper confirmed it in the Sunday Mirror today, there's even the artwork:

EDIT: Cody Simpson's album Paradise is out on 2nd October in America. I'd take a guess at it being put on iTunes at least then, it's been the same case with his EPs.

Ellie Goulding & Leona Lewis's #1 albums please  Why as Dappy moved his album back from 1st October to 15th! when the single is out now? haha Is he playing bring a 4th single out in the next 4 weeks?
