The threads on Alexandra are the biggest threads in this forum, this thread would have enough replies to be considered as an interesting thread...

Anyway, that's not the point. It's up to the Pop mods to move the topic if they want to.

She didn't get dropped though she just parted ways with RCA. They wanted to keep her and make her do pop music for another album while she wanted to do Rnb music so it was a mutual descion for her to leave . She's out in America and has got US management from the guy who use to work at Def Jam so I'm she will get a new record label soon if she hasn't got one already. :)

I personally think that Start Without You killed her career. What an utterly awful song.

But such a wonderful video. :kink:

Anyway, she's not really a massive loss to the music industry (I hope we don't hear anything from her soon/at all in the future).

That is just her PR team at work. She was dropped.
I don't think she was dropped but even if she was was she now has US management with Kevin Liles who use to work at Def Jam and is currentley recording in America so she will probably have a new record label soon if she dosen't have one already . :)

Well she only has herself to blame. She killed her career with her ridiculous OKAY.COM episode.

It annoys me how people didnt find it funny or found her annoying. She was a great guest judge!

I hardly think her guest spot on the X Factor KILLED HER CAREER. Yes some found it irritating, but the fact is that "haters" always shout loudest. I'm sure there were many out there who found her hilarious and charming.

And how can a #1 single have killed her career? No, baby, no.

I think also the fact she thought she could get away with not releasing anything for over a year, 'Elephant' too wasn't exactly a wise choice to come back with.

Of course it killed her career. No one was able to take her seriously as an artist after that. I know that I couldn't and I was fairly neutral about her until that song came out.

You think the general public are concerned with "taking her seriously as an artist"? People just want hot songs. Elephant was a major dud, that's what killed her career.

She hasn't been dropped, she left Sony and is currently recording more urban music with some producers she wouldn't be able to afford on her own.

She must have found a new lable.

Haters take several seats please

Thank You this is exactly what I've been trying to say Alex will be fine and this probably be a smart career move.

Some people carry too much hate with them -_- (Yes Griff and Calum I'm looking at you 2)

*Waits for the "You're a fan, you're argument is invalid" type of comments

Well, it would be better if she was DROPPED.

So let's carry on thinking that she has indeed been DROPPED.
