Posted September 18, 201212 yr ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS REACH THE BREAKING POINT ON AN ALL-NEW "GLEE" THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4 ON FOX Rachel and Kurt are caught off-guard when they get unexpected visits in New York City. Meanwhile, Santana and Brittany deal with the long distance between them, and Will and Emma disagree on a new job offer in the all-new "The Break Up" episode of GLEE airing Thursday, Oct. 4 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GLE-404) (TV-14 D, L) Three songs seem to be confirmed so far, 'Don't Speak' which is Rachel/Finn & Kurt/Blaine, 'Give Your Heart A Break' which is Rachel/Brody & 'Mine' by Taylor Swift which now appears to be a Santana solo (YAY). Brilliant songlist at the moment. EDIT: the others are 'The Scientist' by Coldplay & 'Barely Breathing'.
September 24, 201212 yr "Teenage Dream" is being covered again in this episode (in acoustic form)! I really hope "Don't Speak" isn't ruined like "Call Me Maybe" was. Edited September 24, 201212 yr by THEO.
September 26, 201212 yr "Teenage Dream" is being covered again in this episode (in acoustic form)! Urgh. This show has totally jumped the shark.
September 28, 201212 yr Author I don't see why that would be a jump the shark moment, I think the show did that AGES ago. 5XA1a5KUB3w </3
October 1, 201212 yr Author Loving the stripped down versions that they've done. Naya and Lea sound great on Mine & Give Your Heart A Break respectively. The Scientist is so stunning, they all kill it, so powerful.
October 1, 201212 yr I really didin't want to listen to the songs because I love the majority for them and Glee seem to be ruining my favourite songs. 10.00 Give Your Heart A Break - Delighted Lea Michele covered this, her vocals are stunning and the middle 8 is just amazing, GYHAB is easily one of my favourite songs of 2012 and the cover is fantastic! 10.00 The Scientist - This could EASILY be one of the greatest things Glee has ever done, this is FANTASTIC! 9.00 Teenage Dream - I find Blaine beyond overrated and he murders the majority of the songs I love, I think he actually did a really good version of Teenage Dream and you could actually hear the emotion in his voice. October 5, 201212 yr Author What an excellent episode. Not a single dud performance and I felt a bit teary during both the Brittana break-up and 'The Scientist' (which Lee is right with when he says it could be one of the greatest things the show has ever done). Loved the use of flashbacks. Amongst all the emotion, the fake rapture was hilare.
October 5, 201212 yr Such an emotional episode! I too loved the stripped back performances, it was nice to hear so little autotune for a change (with the exception of "Barely Breathing"), but all performances were visually and vocally great I thought anyway. It's a shame to have seen Finn and Rachel break up, although I think that was for the best. I could see Brittany getting with Sam now, although we still don't know his situation with Mercedes. The best episode of the season anyway!
February 15, 201312 yr I've not been keeping track with S4, but I watched episodes 1-4, and this episode was absolutely beautiful. Naya's scenes were heartbreaking, however. Lea and Naya's vocals are the best about the show.
