so, so sad.... I hear the killer is trying for parole again - good on Yoko Ono for campaigning for him to NEVER be released.
I remember finding out about it on the news when I was getting ready for school. It was a total shock, and was the only topic of conversation at school that day. One of the teachers even cancelled his normal lesson and we spent the whol time talking about John Lennon and The Beatles. Quite a strange and unique experience.

I remember my parents being upset as they were both Lennon fans.

 

I think they played his music non-stop that Xmas!

I meant St Winifred's (School Choir) had the Christmas #1 that year. It followed on from what the previous poster had written, about his parents playing John Lennon through that Christmas...
