I agree with pretty much everything you've said. I'm still a bit taken aback by this album... I had certainly taken on board what a lot of other fans have said about it, over the years, and wondered whether people were exaggerating - but they weren't! It's honestly funny to think that this is the same 5 members who gave us Tears on the Dancefloor and What the Future Holds Pt1/2. Clearly 2012 was quite an identity crisis for them.

It would be interesting hearing their thoughts on this album. We know they weren’t complimentary about the documentaries created around that time but we don’t know much about the output from this era.

I was very surprised to see that It May Be Winter Outside is #5 in Steps' popular list on Spotify! It's included in the Happy Holidays playlist that has over 260,000 likes.

As pretty much the only song I like on that album, it's nice that it's getting some exposure! It has 259,455 streams - considerably more than any other song from the album (even Light Up the World only has 75,096).

Thanks for your comments and I also agree with most. And indeed, the remix of LUTW is actually the best (as it sounds the most Steps)!

Not for a long time :( Last I knew it was 20k. I can't imagine it sells much at all!

290,706 stream total now - 31,251 increase in just one day! 10.75% of its stream total was achieved yesterday. The power of playlists!

Don't think it sold a lot indeed but I'm curious about it's current number. Actually for all their albums ;)

This album was released on 12th November 2012, 10 years ago!

Such a weird moment within their career. Never would have guessed at that point all that we'd go onto receive from them a few years afterwards.

I remember being so excited when I found out about this album 10 years. Then the disappointment set in as I listened to it. Anyway, Happy 10th birthday Light Up The World!
It was def a oh my god steps are releasing a new album how exciting is this to a oh i kinda wish they didn't when I heard it.

This! Trying to ditch their campy sound and going for a more mature one didn’t work at all. Glad they could recover from it though!

Yes, thankfully they came back 5 years later with one of their absolute best!
