I know I have said that before, but American Life is my favourite M album :heart:

What does "ahead of its time" even mean? Surely it could have been released at any time, since it is about Madonna's political views on American and how everyone is obssessed by fame etc. That's the same now as it was then.

It was probably a reference to its sound more than anything.

It's certainly not as bad as it's made out to be.
