I'm back in Pennsylvania....had an interview Firday at Hershey Medical Center for a pharmacy technician position....I won't know for 2-3 weeks anything about whether I got one of the 2 positions advertised....I had to take a proficiency assessment, and pass it with a 70% score, just to be able to have an interview....I managed a 97% on the assessment, and was interviewed a short time later by 3 people at the same time....I'll be heading back to Florida by car Sunday....I'm still knackered from the drive back up here....will be quadruplly knackered by the time I gat back to Florida Monday....the shyte I do for job interviews....

At least you are getting interviews Biggy, that's not always easy now days.

I was banished on the basis that over the past few years I have invariably proved to be a jinx as far as Mr Murray is concerned. It happens match after match. Any time I'm at work or asleep, he wins. Any time I watch him on telly, he loses. I can even come into a room midway through a match he is easily winning only for him to suffer an immediate reversal of fortune as soon as I plonk down in front of the telly. :(

 

The same think happened in Friday night's semi final. My friend and Mother Jupiter were happily watching the first set. Which he won. I then arrived home during the second set and started watching. Only for the Polish player to hit an incredible run of form and win that set. Then go a break up in the 3rd...

 

In frustration I stormed off to the garden and sat on the summerseat with a glass of vino. Only for Murray to win 5 games on the trot...

 

So at that point my 'friend' and Mother Jupiter decided I hadn't to get back into the house. Murray wins match. Naturally.

 

So for the Final I was warned in no uncertain terms by all and sundry (including another friend in NZ who has been well aware of my Murrayjinxism over the years),not to set foot over the threshhold and to avoid all contact with televisions....

 

So I sat in my back garden. Alone. For over 3 hours. :( :( :(

 

Until I heard cheering emanating from windows...

 

And I must say it was the quietest 3 hours I have ever spent outside. Not a lawnmower, not a kid, not a sound....

It was a big stupid thing and bounded up to her. She assumed the 'puffed out' position and then flew at the poor mut's face. It scampered... :lol:

I know the feeling, one of those results was a Wembley final (Johnstone's Paint trophy). They won it the following year when I wasn't there.
