October 17, 201212 yr Bit early for this is it not? The top two remains endlessly frustrating. Nice to see Ke$ha climbing, though!
October 17, 201212 yr PSY won't get #1 it seems as he's decreasing on iTunes and airplay wise, he isn't increasing massively to gain on Maroon 5 either.
October 17, 201212 yr Psy come on get that number 1... :( One direction must've dropped hugely ... It's a shame it won't be such a big hit after all with its very low airplay.... Nice climb for Alex Clare ... Edited October 17, 201212 yr by Big Mistake
October 18, 201212 yr Does the gradual position leaking thing always happen? Wow at Ellie! Complete My Album can't have hurt her at all, how odd!
October 18, 201212 yr Paul Grein posts most of the leaked info (Positions 11->) every Wednesday evening. His blog: http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart-watch/ Edited October 18, 201212 yr by SKOB
October 18, 201212 yr Does the gradual position leaking thing always happen? Wow at Ellie! Complete My Album can't have hurt her at all, how odd! It is strange. Maybe it hurts artists most when they release a lot of promo singles (since when you've download 3-5 of their songs, you have a lot of incentive to complete my album, whilst if they only released one song before the album people might not bother).
October 18, 201212 yr 'Complete My Album' didn't do much to harm Ellie then! #75 is not too bad even if it ends up peaking there, I was fully expecting her to be a complete one hit wonder or maybe scraping a second H100 hit a la Tinie Tempah. Hopefully it'll climb more in the coming weeks and at least give her a second top 40 hit though. Currently #53 on iTunes. Ed Sheeran continuing to move frustratingly slowly outside the top 40 and it's fallen back to #36 on iTunes now from top 30 not that long ago, come on and just make up those last 3 places please... good to see Alex Clare, Muse and The Script all re-peaking though (keep being surprised that 'Too Close' is still in the top 10 now it's dropped out on iTunes) + 'I Will Wait' back in the top 30 :D Really wish PSY could just sneak one week in but it's not looking likely now, 4 weeks at #2 :(
October 18, 201212 yr I remember Call Me Maybe being stuck behind Gotye for a while, and then thinking her time might be over soon, but she ended up getting 9 weeks, so you never know.
October 18, 201212 yr Author I remember Call Me Maybe being stuck behind Gotye for a while, and then thinking her time might be over soon, but she ended up getting 9 weeks, so you never know. It won't happen until Payphone's airplay starts to decline.
