Still Corners dip a place to No.4 with Fireflies and Swedish House Mafia round off the top five at No.5 with Don't You Worry Child...Leona Lewis scores her third No.1 album as Glassheart goes straight in at the top, knocking Loreen's Heal down to No.2! Taylor Swift's Red debuts at No.3, Ellie Goulding slides to No.4 with Halcyon and Whigfield's W is down two places to No.5...

Thanks Theo :D I LOVE Someone New, not sure if it will get to #1 as there's SO much good stuff around at the moment but we'll see, The Promise managed six weeks on top in 2008! I love Glassheart, but Shake You Up wasn't one of my favourites, the intro is very cringey. I'll have a look at your blog later on!

The Chart Music song is good although really not a patch on All My Life which was beautiful for an electro song. Traces Of You has a great chorus! Cerahtonia is great, very jolly, I wouldn't mind seeing it win either!

 

Heal is great but Leona's one of my all time favourite artists and I love Glassheart, this is just a really competitive time of year! At least she kept Taylor Swift at bay!

Thanks David! I love Something New and #1 debuts are a VERY rare beast in my chart, Wish You Were Here is too gorgeous for me to let go of just yet. Yes, I'm loving the album! I can't remember how long Delta was #1 for in 2007, not that long I don't think. Innocent Eyes and Mistaken Identity topped my chart for a LOOOOONNNGGG time though! Glad you're liking Fireflies, I really hope it can go top ten although I'd be happy with 14th or above, at least it would constitute a hit which I desperately need! I Knew You Were Trouble. is excellent, I'm really liking Red too, far more than her last album!

Speaking of, Big Bang are playing Wembley Arena on December 15, it's just a shame that I don't have any real life K-pop fan friends :( I will check it out ASAP, and yes I love Cerahtonia but I loved Run To You too, maybe the older artist was what scuppered it. The lyrics to Hell are just waaaay too clever-clever IMHO, it almost sounds like a Pet Shop Boys parody. I LOVE Baby, but yes I knew Alcazar's version, I just wish PSB's Love Life would get a proper release...

I managed to hear Red last week. Steps never really had much success in my charts because they were around at their peak before I started them. One For Sorrow, Last Thing On My Mind, Love's Got A Hold On My Heart and Heartbeat would have all gone top 3 at least though! Glad you like the Brooke Duff song, even if nobody else seems to care :lol:

Thanks Oricon! Haha yes, Delta pretty much goes to #1 with all of her singles for me! The lead single went to #2 so did better but this did better than the second single at least, seems to have plummeted on iTunes recently though :( I LOVE the new GA song, it hit me very instantly :wub: I still love Gangnam Style but yeah, it's the sort of song with a relatively short shelf life - at least there's another Asian pop song on my playlist in the form of Monster though! I love Loreen but I was always far more in love with Euphoria than anything else she's done! Live While We're Young briefly went top 15 for me but I far prefer What Makes You Beautiful and One Thing, both fantastic pop songs!

Thanks Jonjo, yep, I absolutely adore Troublemaker, it's so punchy and catchy, I always judge an artist based on how much I like a song, as opposed to my past opinion of them but Maroon 5 and Olly have definitely grown on me a lot over the past few years! I love Overexposed! So hopefully Olly's album will be up my street too!

 

Leona's album is great, yes a tiny step down from previous work but it's still really strong with a lot of highlights and not too much filler. I've always really loved Spirit though, it gets far too much hate/indifference!
