This really should've been released by now. It'll be interesting to see how this fares over the week - the X Factor performance (regardless of how good or bad it is) will have some effect.

The strange thing is that I've seen the video a few times this week on MTV Dance. So whilst it might seem old to you (it's only been around for 3 months - not really that old :P ) a lot of people are only discovering the track now. If you like it, why can't you put in your chart only low down? It's still doing incredibly well across Europe.

Snap opinions with 'Wonder'. I'm really surprised it's not done better this week - would be a shame if it missed the top 10 altogether.

 

I quite like 'Candy' but it's one of those songs that can get boring quite quickly if I hear it too much. I did like Robbie's singles 'Bodies' and 'You Know Me' from his last album but it's hard to believe 'Radio' was his last UK #1 - a song hardly anyone remembers. :lol:

It's typical that the week Emeli Sandé is featured on two new singles, it's the lesser song that goes to #1 in the UK. 'Wonder' is a great track and it looks like it was lucky to just scrape into the UK top 10.

I thnik this is the whole point of Robbie - he's not the greatest live singer, and he knows it. However, he's a proper showman and even with dodgy live vocals, he can still sell the song. Didn't expect 'Candy' to have such a big lead on iTunes though.

Nah, Example and Labrinth don't sound anything like each other. Nor does Emeli and Adele. :kink: I get the 'Back For Good' comparison though. :D It's Labrinth's most safe single to date so that'll explain why it's done so well. It's innofensive so all the over 50s who watched X Factor would've been saying "aww, what a lovely song this is".

I guess this is what happens when radio station finally pick up on such tracks. I'd never heard this when it first got to #10 on iTunes. Had a listen on YouTube and really liked it.

It's a promising start but I don't think it's an amazing track hence the low entry here. It might manage a second week in my chart but the new batch of BJSC tracks are due to enter this weekend so Bastille might find themselves losing out.

Well, this got to #6 in the charts. I think if this had missed the top 10 altogether then the signs would suggest they're over. JLS just need to return to their roots and release some singles that are genuinely good. 'Beat Again' and 'Everybody In Love' were two promising singles but by album #2 it just went downhill. JLS are lucky to have a fourth album out. As for 'HGITW', it's an interesting single but I still think it sounds like a reject from Justin Timberlake 'Justified' album. :heehee:

'DNA' will definitely be entering my chart around the time of its release. I don't think I'd be able to compile a personal chart if I just charted everything as soon as I hear it. I'd never be satisfied with the order so I like to use the UK release schedule as a guide to charting new songs. Unless they're already doing really well in Europe, or I've discoverd them in BJSC then I'm more likely to chart them early.

'Candy' has exceeded my expectations. I knew it'd get a boost from X Factor, but I was really surprised it sold 73k in 2 days. If the single is looking set for decent first week sales, surely Robbie's album next week could be heading for equally decent sales too.

Have to admit, I've not really taken to this song that much. I think it's mainly down to Labrinth's vocals which sounds so breathy and semi-strained on certain notes. :lol: It is a pleasant song and I was rather gobsmacked at the way it rocketed up iTunes after X Factor.
