March 29, 201312 yr http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/news/a469...rama-added.html Really? It's completely about their personal lives as it is. I think they're missing the point if this is true; people want to see them recording/promoting music in order to crack America. That's what they show said, but didn't deliver!
March 29, 201312 yr It porbably won't come back on, just simply becaus the girls will be cba to do it anymore. It's becoming an invasion of privacy for them
March 29, 201312 yr Yeah I really don't feel comfortable watching their personal lives. They're funny girls, very down to earth and live normal lifes, I don't want them to be followed around by cameras at family events and stuff. I want to see them in the studio recording and writing, meeting producers, doing gigs, preparing for gigs, preparing for promo, talking with management and the label, shooting videos, discussing single releases, signings, interviews etc
March 29, 201312 yr Yeah exactly, they're not the Kardashians, They're the saturdays and we've already seen a lot of the personal lives already on Chasing the Saturdays. Asking them for more is going too far
March 29, 201312 yr I don't think it will have a season 2, the ratings seemed to drop when it moved to monday I think. Plus, I don't think ben would be very happy as I feel he is rather annoyed with the show as it is
March 29, 201312 yr To show "more drama" and "more of their personal lives" are two different things though. I've always thought they could have showed a lot more of fun scenes with Aoife than what they did. More drama for the sake of it can also be freaking boring, like the story with Vanessa and her boyfriend in the second episode.
March 29, 201312 yr Thing is, though, it was billed as the girls trying to crack America. It wasn't until the last episode did they even start to promote the song! Madness. And I don't understand why they made it look like they only found out Rochelle was pregnant before Jay Leno when she'd been showing a bump for ages before that. And on Loose Women Rochelle said they stopped filming for the show in November yet they were filmed in January for their promo. It's all very odd.
March 29, 201312 yr Author They should ditch E! and try and get a new series with ITV (SATURDAYS 24/7) Edited March 29, 201312 yr by WALL-E
March 30, 201312 yr E! is one of the trashiest networks, why The Sats thought they'd be a good fit there I have no idea. No doubt they want more drama between the girls (not sure what else they could be referring to as there is already plenty of drama between them and the outside world). They're true to who they are and I know they won't cave to what the network wants, so I guess Season 2 probably won't happen. Edited March 30, 201312 yr by LoveKiller
April 2, 201312 yr last Sundays episode drew in 114,000 :) So while the US ratings have plummeted, their being watched my more UK viewers than in the US.
April 3, 201312 yr It's sad how they started with over 900,000 viewers in the US and on the last episode they only had 100,000 viewers. That's an eight thousand drop right there, which is obviously a quality issue. They had alot of interest before the show started and it's obvious viewers were bored with the show and just gave up. Such a shame.

Such a shame. Bearing in mind it switched airing slots; guess the audience of the amended slot didn't really approve. Although I do agree the quality did decline a bit, that wouldn't explain its success here though. Although I guess the American audience are less bias compared to us.
April 7, 201312 yr I really really enjoyed the series and I loved the ending of the final episode! Hopefully they will still go on to have success in the US!
April 7, 201312 yr In all fairness I was one viewer the show lost because towards the end Una and her family became the centre of the show and it got a bit boring
April 7, 201312 yr I liked the show but as shadow and many others have previously said, only a couple episodes stayed true to the goal of what the show was created in the first place for. I fear that when it comes to promotion in other market such as Australia, it'll be more the show they promote rather than the actual music.
April 8, 201312 yr The thing is, even if it isn't renewed in America, if it is a hit in the UK (which it clearly is) and worldwide, we could get a second season of chasing.
April 9, 201312 yr The series has been hugely popular in the UK. Hopefuly it'll get re-commissioned even if it's just for the UK. It's hit the mark very well with the UK audience, It's really clicked. I think if you took elements from the E! series and put them into their ITV2 series, you'd have the perfect mix. I was surprised that the E! series didn't focus that much on their career, but with that sort of network it wasn't unexpected. However, their friendships have really shone through, and they've portrayed them as a very tight-knit group.
