December 1, 201212 yr Nooo I wanted Ashley to win. :( Everyone I've talked to and everyone on the internet seemed to love Ashley so I genuinely thought she would win. Charlie winning against anyone else would've been fine, but it just felt anti-climatic with Ashley being runner-up.
December 1, 201212 yr Well done Charlie! For me, Ashley was definitely my winner! She will have built up a great fanbase and deservedly so! She was the reason why this was such a good series - she was so funny and just amazing! She also provided my favourite moment with that meddling task when she told Hugo about the monster being all an act! THANK YOU ASHLEY! :cheer:
December 1, 201212 yr Annoyed about Ashley not winning. For 2 reasons, one because I wanted her to win (that one's obvious), but re-uniting Charlie with her daughter while phone lines were still open was annoyingly manipulative.

I think the exploitation of Kiki definitely contributed in Charlie's win. Not sure if the part on the end made a difference though cause it was literally a few seconds before lines closed, plus Ant & Dec said the highest vote getter changed since the beginning of the show, so obviously Ashley was winning throughout the day then Charlie took over during the show. On DS I read the theory that since the finale has a million more viewers than the normal shows it means more casual viewers who haven't seen the rest of the series tuned in and probably more likely to recognise and vote for Janine from Eastenders as opposed to some American girl from the Pussycat Dolls. Oh well, 'spose who wins the title of 'Queen of the Jungle' doesn't really matter at the end of the day because the show's over now. I hope Ashley comes to the UK to do some interviews etc. :P
December 2, 201212 yr Author To be fair the lines were open for about 30 seconds after so it can't have made much of a difference, but they did say it really close. Still I think my point stands. I'm happy that Charlie won. I didn't watch for about a week and a half but in the final I prefered her to Ashley, eiher would've been a fantastic winner though.

December 3, 201212 yr I never got the fuss with Ashley? Everyone was like SHE IS WELL AMAZING and QUEEN and I just thought she was... OK? ROSEMARY SHRAGER THOUGH. It's a crime against humanity that she wasn't in the final. Her in the bathtub is one of the most arousing sights in the history of arousing sights.
December 7, 201212 yr The voting percentages have been revealed by ITV! View the original ITV article HERE Or use Wikipedia which displays the percentages much better visually HERE (scroll down to see the percentages) So so gutted for Ashley, 50.56% vs 49.44% - the closest final ever surely! And Ashley was never out of the top 3, and won the 5 votes preceding the final! She definitely was the real winner! Edited December 8, 201212 yr by Ryan741

Maybe the Kiki factor did kick in more than I thought.
