Posted November 14, 201212 yr Its been just over 24 years since kylie and Jason first released the iconic 'Especially For You' back in November 1988. With the duo about to perform together at the Hit Factory Live concert at the O2 on the 21st December wouldn't it be great if we could get them and the song back in the top 40 maybe even the top 10 for Xmas and force those Radio 1 executives who don't want to play Kylie anymore to play the track! Surely there are enough fans of the artists and the songs to get together and download versions of the song during the week of the 16th-23rd December 2012 to get the song back in everyones memories? Can we get a radio station or celebs to push it and get it coverage.... surely it will get media coverage anyway from the concert? What do people think? Can anyone with a bit of clout start a campaign for Kylie and Jason to stop the X-factor winner from reaching the top????? Any ideas/Thoughts?
November 14, 201212 yr and force those Radio 1 executives who don't want to play Kylie anymore to play the track! Radio One would never ever play Especially for You, even if it did incredibly manage to reach number one for Christmas. :P
November 14, 201212 yr Radio One would never ever play Especially for You, even if it did incredibly manage to reach number one for Christmas. :P Well that's not true, because if it charted at #1 they're obliged to play it ;)
November 14, 201212 yr Outside of the chart show I don't think they ever played at the time so fat chance now!
November 14, 201212 yr I have to agree with Liam, hopefully the single will pass the million mark. It's the one Kylie song I can't listen to.

November 14, 201212 yr Well that's not true, because if it charted at #1 they're obliged to play it ;) Well they would have to play it *then*.. ;) But Reggie Yates would be 1000 times more disgusted than Robbie Williams getting to number one!
November 14, 201212 yr "Especially for you" would be the best Christmas No.1 since "2 become 1"... if...

November 14, 201212 yr It's the one Kylie song I can't listen to. It's one of the few I really can't stand either, in terms of singles 'Tears On My Pillow' trumps everything though. So NO, let's not. Why not campaign for one of her actually decent singles?
November 14, 201212 yr To be honest, I've done stuff like this before and it hasn't worked out, so I doubt this one will!

Why not campaign for one of her actually decent singles? I actually really like Tears On My Pillow! ^_^ But I agree with Especially for You, it's an alright track and it's obviously really exaggerated in terms of lyrics and video to make it look like Kylie and Jason are mad about each other; I'm sure everyone involved with the track knew that, but outside of karaoke on a Friday night, it's not something I intentionally listen to! :P
November 14, 201212 yr It's 2012 not 1989. We don't need or want those two back in the charts. What a moronic thing to say
November 14, 201212 yr It's 2012 not 1989. We don't need or want those two back in the charts. One of them is in the charts, in this week's top 10 albums infact. I'm happy for her to always be there.
November 14, 201212 yr There's no way this will do well now. The song sounds a little dated and music tastes have changed so much.
