Either way the whole thing would've already PASSED :D

Semifinals being 5 and the Final - 8 hours long or something. Sanremo-style. Oh YES *.*

I can't imagine anything more HORRIFYING. Just imagine how much shit we'd have had to put up with last year.

Madness Of Love >>>>>> being crushed to death by Hera Bjork >>>> Running Scared.

Not just because I'm Italian. Or a chunky lover.

Had Madness Of Love won there would have been mass uproar, considering it didn't come top ten in the televote! The juries existence would have been heavily called into question.
Aftonbladet being basically the Swedish News Of The World, I think they're putting two and two together and making five here, but there are two original songs by Mr Shemper on Kimble's new largely covers-based album Centre Stage. They're called You First Loved Me and Dreams Can Learn To Fly, and are hopefully a lot better than they sound from the titles
That rumour has been floating about on Twitter for a week or two now. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be true though! She's linked to the BBC, Fredrik's got the Eurovision link, Kimberley's linked to the Girls Aloud rumour and the song is 3 minutes long. All that's missing is the confirmation of a key change on the track

Which of the songs is it meant to be?

You First Loved Me.

Is Kimberley much of a live vocalist? Girlband members don't exactly have great reputation in that department!

Sarah isn't!

Vocals really aren't everything at Eurovision (Hi Ell & Nikki!), so as long as the singer can vaguely hold a tune it's fine. Kimberley's more than capable of that given her previous experience in the West End.

Well Kimberley would be FAR better than pretty much all of the entrants of the past 15 years, so I wouldn't be against it. Another ballad though!

There's a longer clip (featuring the chorus!) on iTunes, if you look at the pre-order page for Centre Stage. It's all very Cyndi.

Surely a good thing? Imagine if we had sent Cyndi in 2007? We'd probably have been the only "Western" nation in the top 10!

I still think that (as nice as it was), I'll Leave My Heart's chances were slightly overrated, I reckon it would have come about 12th.

I've just rewatched 'I'll Leave My Heart' and it was amazing!! It does have a very similar sound to 'You Raise Me Up' though I think!

I've heard the clips of Kimberley's 'You First Loved Me' and I think it could do very well as Eurovision depending on the rest of the song!

I actually really like it. It's lovely. But why can't we send something uptempo and current, that isn't bland or sounds like it could've been a hit over 25 years ago? I'm using 'I Can' as a success for us, it got to number 11, i.e. a hit. Yes it should have been a top 10 finish for us, it would have if it wasn't for the judges.

But for what it is, I'm liking the sound of it and I do hope it's true. Kimberly has always been my fave member of GA :D

Something current by a current act would be even better! But I'll take either something current from a dated act (Blue) or a ballad from a current act (Kimberley). What I can't accept is something dated by a dated act (all of our other entries!). If it is Kimberley, at least I won't have to completely disown our entry and pretend that I'm not British in May!

I think every year we have the same issues about the BBC and how much they actually want to host Eurovision. Look at 2012 with the Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics. People flocked from all over the world to the UK for those events and was considered a great way to "help the UK economy".

So, why shudder at the prospect of hosting Eurovision in the UK again? Get people from all over Europe into the UK to "help the UK economy" again. :D

After Sweden got it spot on in 2012 with 'Euphoria', I think the future of Eurovision will continue to be either Sweden (representing the Western world) or the continued success of Eastern Europe doing well each year. Without hearing any of this years entries, it's practically a foregone conclusion that Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Turkey will more than likely do well.

Anyways, if it's LeAnne Mitchell who ends up representing us then I'll just support whatever my fave entry is. Will probably be Sweden again going off the last couple of years. :D
