Olly Murs will get a 2nd week at #1 and maybe even a 3rd. Gabrielle Aplin is probably the only person who could stop him getting a 3rd week if the John Lewis advert gets shown on T.V heavilly that week seeing as it will be early December by that time.

It looks like my prediction might come true as Olly Murs is not #1 combined anymore.

Exactly, there's nothing wrong with the Frankie Goes To Hollywood version but Gabrielle's is bland, boring and frankly I'd rather jump off a cliff than be subjected to the full song (thankfully I've only heard snippets/still haven't seen the John Lewis advert).

 

At first I wondered if Buzzjack was trying to give me a taste of my own medicine, based on my rants about you-know-what... ;) However, it seems several of you feel the same way about this song.

 

Personally I much prefer this new version of FGTH's original - it works better as a pure ballad, and Ms Aplin sings it very sweetly. I would be delighted to see it at #1!

I'm all for Gabrielle getting #1. It's about time we had a Christmas song at #1 in December, even if it's a cover :dance:

Comical that Tulisa's looking to peak outside the T10 again. Just goes to show she should've stuck to the generic-dance sound of "Young" - even though she's revealed she only released a track like that to get a solo #1. A #11 peak doesn't even look likely for the time being either, with Alicia Keys and Christina Perri both still above her combined; she's down at #15!
