Robbie's fears over gruelling tour

(Tuesday August 15, 2006 06:15 PM)

Robbie Williams is scared that he might not be able to keep up with his gruelling Close Encounters tour schedule.

The singer told The Daily Record: "I've only toured for, at the most, one month at a time when I was in Take That and in my solo career.

"This tour's five months and I was very concerned that I wasn't going to get through it or that something would happen."

However, the star has already taken in Dublin, Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam, and he shows no sign of slowing down.

"But it's easy. I've done two months and I'm still here - two arms, two legs. I've still got a voice. I'm good," Robbie told the paper.

The star, 32, reveals that he is most looking forward to visiting the River Plate Stadium in Argentina and the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.

"I'm looking forward to doing that," he said. "And that's South America. That's thousands of miles away from Stoke-on-Trent. Why are they buying tickets, you know?"

:D im not trying to be mean...but maybe be is just having a whine cause his tour is that long. god knows id hate to be the one doing that many gigs in that little time, so exhausting im sure
I honestly don't think he would have coped with this length of tour if Johnny W hadn't been there. Johnny W is the difference I think. Good old Johnny. :cheer:
i LOVE Johnny W
They were so funny in those Amsterdam clips. As Super Heros in that stupid Golf Buggy...
I'm not saying he adds much to the concert. I'm just saying there might not be any concerts if Johnny wasn't there. He is good for Robbie's mental health I think. So if Robbie wants to sing a couple of songs with him that's fine by me. ^_^

Fair enough but that performance went on for days -_-

Oh stop havering. When you came back from the concert you told us all the Robbie and Johnny part was one of the best bits. -_-

I was drinking that night  and i don't remember saying that -_-

Well you did. One of the highlights you said. Very amusing you said. Now hush. ^_^

I agree - it's no coincidence that Jonny is there. He's definitely good for Robbie to have around and helps him relax and keep his feet on the ground. Having little Mickey around must be a calming influence as well. I also think the World Cup and all the football they are playing is helping keep him sane this time round.

Admittedly him & Robbie together on stage is a bit cheesy, but it's also lovely to see them together :P

Scotty Scotty, you are moaning tonight.LOL...thats okay though.

I think Jon has always been there with Robbie on tours in some role or other. Just got a higher profile this time.

I also think "The Plane" is a big help too.

It was amusing when they were talking but the performance was far to long and then they did Strong as well.
