07. iamamiwhoami - kin

Top 5 Songs:

11.0 play

9.5 goods

9.5 kill

9.0 sever

8.5 in due order

From the PHIT to the sublime. A wondrous concoction of magical, synthesising chants and pulsating (my favourite word) beats. Definitely took me a fair few listens to really connect, but i stuck with it (to get into Pavel's good books/pants) and the final result is a fully-fledged love for the album. It takes me away to some dizzying heights (probably Russia) whenever i listen, and every time i find a new track to relove all over again. And Jonna, i'll be your rascal anyday.

06. Tulisa - The Female Boss

Top 5 Songs:

11.0 Kill Me Tonight

11.0 Young

10.0 Live Your Life

9.5 Live It Up

9.5 Steal My Breath Away

9.5 Habit

Fortune teller predicted her career gon' be massive. And fortune teller was right (in my personal chart). A massive year for T, topped off by the perfect album i could have imagined from her (let's face it, she's no Madonna, but for her it is very strong). I have too much love for Tulisa: her sex tape was a laugh, Young was my SUMMER JAM, Live it Up showcased how horrid blonde hair looked on her, Sight Of You was, well pleasent and her X Factor shinding was completely overshadowed by Quen Nicole. But she still manages a top 6 album, with this absolute beast.

Kill Me Tonight is the highlight for me, it's cringe, chavvy, tacky and all things glorious about N-Dubz. Young is of course my anthem, and Live Your Life is for the haters that just can't seem to fathom that #36 is actually a success (given the amount of excuses that myself and the other 3 BJ (wanting) Tulisa lovers can provide).

Don't hate the SMASH HIT multi platinum selling The Female Boss!

(in all seriousness it's quite a good album!)

Had a quick look through this and so far it's about half great and half shite. Yus. I must concur about 'As Long As You Love Me' in particular.

05. The Weeknd - Trilogy

Top Songs:

11.0 High For This

10.0 Same Old Song

9.5 Lonely Star

9.5 Heaven or Las Vegas

9.5 Wicked Games

9.0 D.D

Having not experienced Haus Of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence when they were first released, i was thankfully introduced to all three together in a glossy new packaging and a few extra songs too boot. Trilogy is first and foremost an absolute mammoth of a collection, from the downright seedy to the euphorically uplifting, it really is an adventure. The lyrics are chilling and cutting, and Abel's voice is like sex to my ears. Truly an incredible trio of delights, the clear highlight being High For This which sets up the adventure with class and modesty, and from there you may be painstakingly crying (Same Old Song) or dancing with your pants off ready to pounce on the nearest fitty.

Enough to turn me into a raging heterosexual (but only on Thursday).

Ew.

I bought Contrast today :smoke: should arrive by the end of the week.

05. Misha B - Do You Think of Me

*still charting

The beautifully talented Queen of X Factor 2011, limped into my charts with Homerun, but it was follow up Do You Think of Me that propelled her into Haus stardom. I loved her infinitely on X Factor, and charted tonnes of her live performances (particularly when Princess Kitty was eliminated). This georgous, heart-felt song stormed to the top of my charts and stayed there for a huge three weeks, and then hung around in the top 5 for months to follow.

Still charting, this really is a special song that just cuts straight thru me. The lyrics as sung by Misha's vulnerable voice just ooze class, and put her much further above the other X Factor alumni. Insanely excited for her mixtape/album next year, and hopefully she can still shine bright in the future.

#4 Album up next. Stars

04. Marina and the Diamonds - Electra Heart

Top Songs:

11.0 Lies

10.0 Radioactive

10.0 Primadonna

9.5 Homewrecker

9.0 Lonely Hearts Club

8.5 Buy The Stars

After the amazing Family Jewels, the hotly anticipated Electra Heart definitely managed to match its awesomeness. Full of tounge-in-cheek lyrics, Marina's Sex Yeah voice, and some truly incredible songs, it's definitely a step forward from where she was a few years ago.

The incredible Lies (RELEASE IT BITCH!) really is the standout track, and this album would probably be limping at #6 or something if it wasn't for it. Apart from that, Radioactive is a generic hot-mess of a gem, and most successful single Primadonna sums up the album perfectly. Flaunt that ego gurl. Buy The Stars also deserves a mention for ending the album perfectly, and leaves me wet for where she goes next. (How To Be A Heartbreaker aside <_<)

#4 single coming up next. WetYet.

17. Loreen - My Heart is Refusing Me

Chart Run: [27-1-1-1-1-3-3-3]

Still riding high in the top 5 of my personal charts as i write this (and thus probably deserving of a top 15 place once the year actually ends), but for now Loreen will have to settle for #17 (and another entry still to come). It took me a while to fall in love with this beauty (yes, i was on Buzzjack all year and only JUST fell in love with her a few months ago). But she's now here to stay, and with what has become my favourite album of the year, My Heart is Refusing Me should stick around for a while. Mustering a mighty month on the top spot, blocking wigs left, right and centre, and a video still to come, expect this to chart well into 2013 too! This epic tune could also be a challenger to dethrone one of Gaga's many songs in my ALL-TIME top 10 overall chart.
