Reasons: Presenters UK - crap (Dermot O'Dreary too childish) USA great Mentors: UK 2 good - 2 crap (good Gary & Tulisa - crap Louis & Nicole) USA 2 good 2 crap (good Simon & Demi - crap LA & Shitney her squeally voice goes right through me) Acts UK final 12 -- 3 good -9 crap -- all 3 finalists are crap US finall 12 -- 10 good 2 crap -- one of these has now gone Adios Vino!! December 9, 201212 yr I prefer the talent on the USA version, but the editing, the song choices, the double elimination decision and presenters were all terrible.
December 9, 201212 yr I don't know, both are flawed in many ways. Much like the UK version, the US version started off so promising with the likes of Carly, Paige, Jennel, Beatrice and Fifth Harmony. But a few weeks later, Jennel and Paige have been bussed by horrific mentoring, Beatrice was sidelined for Carly and Fifth Harmony are just... underwhelming. Carly is absolute light years ahead of the others combined and she's only 13! The judges are a bit shit as well, LA Reid is the pickiest twat ever, I could just punch him. And then Britney is like an empty shell, plus Simon is just a shit version of himself. Demi is brilliant, but not enough to save the panel. The hosts are horrific too, it's too rushed and just feels cheap and half assed. The UK version as a show is done pretty well by comparison, and Dermot is a good host. The judges could be better, but Nicole is fabulous, Gary is hot so even if he's boring and a massive twat he serves one purpose. Tulisa is OK, a bit dull and annoying though. Louis is pretty funny, I couldn't imagine the show without him. It's the talent that's wrong with our version, we threw away the likes of Carolynne, Melanie, and Jade (not to mention Ella which was possibly the most ridiculous reality elimination ever) in favour of the likes of Chris. I prefer the UK version overall because the tackiness of the US version makes it far less enjoyable. I like the votes being revealed though.

And just who choses the talent on the UK shows - the UK Mentors. The UK show has lost 1/3 of the viewers in the last 2 years and if they don't do something about it they will lose another 1/3 next year. I stopped watching myself after Ella went because the rest were rubbish.
December 10, 201212 yr X Factor USA is the most horribly overproduced television show on the planet. There's nothing warm, genuine or fun about it. Even when the talent on the UK show is shit, you get the impression that everybody involved is not taking it too seriously. It's just a good laugh on a Saturday night. The US show is SO dry and cynical. Just watch The Voice instead! (As indeed most people in the US do.)

December 10, 201212 yr Well I'd rather have Khloe Kardashian Odom (can't forget that last bit can we!!) and her awful autocue reading over Dermot anyday. Overall I prefer the US version, better talent and of course Demi Lovato.
