When is Rihanna's video for Stay out? Hoping that will be the first #1 of 2013 or last #1 of 2012 (or both ) or be nice for Taylor to do it now her video is out.

I'm thinking Stay might not get a music video, since I'm still not sure it's being released worldwide.

They might be forced to release Nobodies Business in the US, since it's getting a LOT of radio airplay there for an album track. Loveeeeeee Song and Pour It Up are also currently getting more radio airplay than Stay. I hope Stay gets released everywhere though. It's a good song, and I don't want things to get messy like normally happens.

:ne: 87 The Killers - Mr. Brightside

people downloading Britney on what might be their last day deserves for humanity to be wiped out.

I assume you mean her song, rather than Britney herself, as I would definitely do the latter if I could! :P

It wont be him that wins that award because im pretty much guranteed to win it, but the difference is that a part of me actually wants to win that award.

It looks like James Arthur will be back at #1 on iTunes by Sunday or Monday.

I didn't even know that award *existed* until I got lumbered with it...

And James Arthur seems to be a couple of days ahead of your schedule!

Amusing to compare the UK and US charts at Christmas time - their 'battle' for number-one is Bruno Mars v. Rihanna - no charity records, no campaigns; just the same old chart. Wish it were like this in the UK sometimes, Justice Collective is going to drop like a bomb in the New Year; just like the majority of other charity tracks.

It's not fair to compare US & UK singles charts anyway. The US ones include airplay, and *exclude* old songs, so Xmas songs *can't* chart, regardless of how many they are selling.

Poor Britney fans will get their hopes up that she is back!!!!!111!1!!!1 because of scream and shout, but in reality it is such a generic song that would sell if anyone released it because it sounds current and has Will.i.am on it. She will then release something next year and people will again realise the 2 things she had going for her (her ability to dance and her looks) have long since faded

I can't agree with the latter.

Thread cleared sorry guys, all of the posts and related, quoted posts have been deleted by the two alias members.

The rule has been slightly changed so now old songs can rechart if they're doing enough to be top 50. Mariah is at #25 right now (a new peak).

How boring their chart is then - christmas is like a breath of fresh air at the end of the year in the uk charts with older artists making an impact.

The us chart doesnt even have an xmas songs lol!!

A new peak? Where did she get to in 1994?

it did not chart in the Billboard Hot 100 back then because it was not released on CD as a single in the US.

I actually listened to that Alex Day song in its entirity earlier, out of curiosity. No offence to the guy or anything and I wish him all the best, but it really is terrible.
Th Pogues starting to surge a bit now (as well as the other xmas songs) in the days up to xmas eve - at 28 & 25 now, hopefully it can out peak this years no15!

In that case, why isn't it outselling Jamas Arthur, and The Justice Collective...

BTW, I just checked Kworb, and the Justice Collective have gone back to #1...

It is outselling Jamas Arthur, because there is nobody with that name in the chart...

I guess I've picked up on other people's typos too often myself... ;)

The XF effect for 'Beneath Your Beautiful' is long over, it's held up because of extremely high airplay.

Woo for PSY and £1 Fish Man!

 76. It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) - R.E.M.

Might not go top 40 on iTunes but it could get close.

Would be amazing to hear £1 Fish Man on the chart show!
