Glow killed the entire era. To follow up a huge #1 with a just-top 10 and its a weak song.

I love Glow and i dont think it mattered what she released it would have done no better. Thats the problem with hugely successful singles, the follow ups can get lost. When i saw Ella supporting Take That and Glow got a great reaction from the crowd.

Nothing was going to be as good as Ghost though and it would have been far too early to release Yours.
Did Adele really saying she would sing with her, if she really not eliminated that early? how sweet of her

I saw her in Glasgow 2 weeks ago and she was amazing. I was upstairs right above the stage so the view was incredible. Pieces was my favourite of the night.

Sorry to bump an old topic, but doing the X Factor rate reminded me of how much of a B O P 'Pieces' is and how it should have followed 'Ghost' as the second single.

Agree Pieces is fantastic. I like Glow but I think it’s more an album track. In fact I think they messed the whole era up after Ghost.

I’d have gone:

Ghost

Pieces

Hard Work

Give Your Heart Away

Yours

Actually just listening to some tracks now and it’s a really strong album. Empire, All Again and Rockets are amazing tracks.

Syco handled her terribly. Possibly the worst of any X Factor act. So much potential.

I love glow and would always pick it as a single but pieces should also have been a single. Its disappointing what happened after chapter 1 as she did very well overall with the album and singles and then it all fell away. Its good that she got back in the charts again this year.

Yours wasn’t the initial choice for single 3.

I seem to remember it took off because it got used on Hollyoaks when Carmel McQueen died.

Her album was strong though.

Empire was another song I really liked too. Its similar to Ghost though so maybe that’s why it didn’t get a push. I love Glow always have for some reason. I thought I was in the minority but it did really well on the X Factor rate

She was mishandled slightly though. I really hope we get another solo album from her at some point but I’m glad she revived her career and managed to get some hits even if she was featured artist on her last tracks to chart.

I hope she does release a new album but i do think the dance route might be the best for her. Empire would prob have been a better choice than yours or ideally Pieces would have been selected. I think if she can do a few more features and build up her name again and then release a strong solo single she might manage some further success.

Glow was a smash and I think anything after Ghost would of been a bit of a come down

It seems to be dance features that are keeping her relevant not that it’s a bad thing, she sounds great on those kind of tracks.

Ya her voice really works great on dance tracks, she should follow the becky hill route.

Yes I agree and maybe then she could have a similar selling and charting album/e.p to Becky which is fantastic

Ya that's what I would like as it's worked great for Becky's album, great chart run and looks on track to go gold. I think the same formula would work for ella.
