In at 50 we have the first Taylor Swift track. I think it's safe to say this is her most successful year to date. She did extremely well back in 2009 as well with 5 songs in my top 100. She hasn't disappointed me this era (she was a bit samey for a few years in between but a big return to form) and it looks like it'll be a big hit in 2013.

50: Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble

49: Loreen - Euphoria

48: Fun. - Carry On

47: Gabrielle Aplin - The Power of Love

46: Willy Moon - Yeah Yeah

Eurovision winner Loreen finishes as my 49th song of the year followed by Fun's recent and underrated effort "Carry On" charting 48th. A name set for big things in 2013, Gabrielle Aplin charts at 47 with her mellow cover of Frankie Goes to Hollywood's "Power of Love". Willy Moon has literally zoomed up rapidly on my chart whilst updating. The infectious grower "Yeah Yeah" comes in at 46.

45: The Script Ft Wil I Am - Hall of Fame

44: No Doubt - Settle Down

43: Adam Lambert - Never Close Our Eyes

42: Will Young - Losing Myself

41: Lawson - When She Was Mine

The Script's huge hit "Hallf of Fame" which features Wil I Am who makes his 2nd appearance enter in 45th place. Final No Doubt record charts at 44 whilst Adam Lambert makes his only appearance this year with "Never Close Our Eyes" at 43. Will Young's "Losing Myself" come in 42nd and new band Lawson enter at 41 with their first single and entry "When She Was Mine".

Right Top 40 time.

NO.S 40-35.

40: Linkin Park - Burn It Down

39: Lawson - Standing In The Dark

38: Marina And The Diamonds - Power & Control

37: Ronan Keating - Fires

36: Scissor Sisters - Only The Horses

Linkin Park's return single crashes in at 40 followed by a very quick 2nd appearance from Lawson coming in 39th place, they have one more still to come. Marina And The Diamonds really dominating for me this year with a second entry at 38 with "Power & Control". Ronan Keating's first proper solo record in over 6 years "Fires" which is a decent one at that is 37th. A rather disappointing year for Scissor Sisters but they did produce a decent tune although not one of their best but still good "Only the Horses" shoots into 36th position.

35-31 coming in approx ten minutes.

Possibly the song of the summer, Owl City hooking up with Carly Rae Jepsen on "Good Time" entering in 35th position with Rita Ora's only song to chart "How We Do" storms in at 34. Emeli Sande's first track in my top 100 is "Next To Me which is my 33rd song of 2012. 2011 X Factor Winners Little Mix ride in at 32 with "DNA" (Wings is still to show) and "Domino" by Jessie J finishes in 31st place.

The top 30 is looking good! :D From that list I only dislike My Kind of Love, Skyfall, Drive By, I Won't Give Up, Read All About It Pt. III and One More Night.

Of the top 50 so far it's great to see Euphoria, Carry On, the two Lawson tracks and Marina

Of the remainders my favourites are definitely the two fun. tracks :D

Thankyou. I agree with your hate 1 BTW. That Chris Brown track is horrendous.

Hi Rob - great chart so far. Girls Aloud should obviously be placed a lot higher though. I'm surprised James Arthur is already so high up your list though! :o

Thankyou Theo. James IMO is a brilliant artist and deserving winner not to forget I love his version of Impossible. All of that helped by the huge success in the charts is why it's so high IMO. (I have the CD too :D )
