Your Song sold 455,300 by the end of 2010.

The Power Of Love has not sold anywhere this amount.

:(

The Power Of Love still feels like the bigger song though! :kink:

'The Power Of Love' was nowhere near as big as 'Your Song'. It got to #1 due to an extremely dead week and an X Factor performance helping its sales stay more sturdy than the songs that were ahead the previous week. Also, only one week top 3 while 'Your Song' had 4 (and then another 3 weeks top 5, which is how many top 5 weeks 'The Power Of Love' has in total).

I swear that The Power Of Love has had more airplay than Your Song though?

Yes "Your Song" had sold 729k back at the beginning at the month which is more than double the sales of TPOL (301k currently)
Flo Rida - Wild Ones was in the top 10 for ages in the first part of this year.

It's going to make the year-end top 10 as well which I just find to be ridiculous, since it seemed the smallest hit of his 4 singles to me tbh. I could've understood Whistle making the year-end top 10 since that song seemed big, but Wild Ones really just went under the radar for me. I heard it on the radio a lot, and that was about it.

'Wild Ones' is easily the best of all the Flo Rida singles released in the last 12 months. It probably sold the most because it appealed to more people in the UK. Yes, 'Whistle' was far bigger around the world - doesn't mean it's the better track. In this case, I'd say the UK got it right. :P
Hits is right, Wild Ones is easily the best of Flo Rida's songs.
Yeah, Whistle wasn't as big in the charts as I thought it was going to be. I remember Flo Rida saying he thought Whistle would be his biggest ever hit (topping Low). He was certainly wrong on that count. To be honest, I think he's a bit silly if he thinks he'll ever get a bigger hit than Low.

I'd be surprised if the total sales of 'Whistle' worldwide hasn't overtaken the overall sales of 'Low'. 'Whistle' dominated during the summer in loads of countries.

I would think Whistle would sell more because it's 2012 vs. 2008, but maybe Low was THAT much bigger that it's still ahead. Whistle (or any of his singles this year) was big, but it doesn't compare to Low in terms of how big it was.

Whistle was MASSIVE internationally. I kept hearing it when I went on holiday to Portugal during the summer! :o :D
I'm surprised it was so big worldwide, Whistle sounds so generic to me.......

Most songs that are big worldwide are generic (with a few exceptions like Rolling in the Deep, Somebody That I Used to Know, etc.).

I'm just wondering what the particular appeal of Whistle is though in generic songs :P

THIS GUYS ARE GOING TO BE MASSIVE!

NJ - ONE LAST TIME IS A FUTURE NO.1 JUST LIKE I PREDICTED SOMEONE LIKE YOU BY ADELE

I don't know. Probably the innuendo in the song.

Songs with a hidden sexual meaning often go down well, like Candy Shop, Poker Face, My Humps, Rude Boy, and so on.

Plus the whistling hook is very catchy.
