December 28, 201212 yr Author You can die in that burning wreck x http://www.j-14.com/One-Direction-Take-Me-Home-Cover-Art-Revealed.jpg #2: One Direction - "Take Me Home" Choice picks: Nobody Compares // I Would // I've had a strange relationship with this album so far. I was disappointed by both singles at first, one because it sounded too much like "What Makes You Beautiful" (EOY #1 2011) and the other because of how dull it felt. The album also felt a bit of a let-down, it was as if they were trying to fit in too much with the American market and it didn't feel like "them" in the same way as the debut did. But these days, after letting it all sink in and accept it for what it is, I'd say it is an improvement and is the only album here to contain no filler (on the standard edition - aside from "Nobody Compares" the bonus tracks are still rubbish). I could honestly listen to it from start to end without feeling the need to skip anything, which can't be said for the low points of "Up All Night". And it does feel more like a One Direction as Niall and Louis get a lot more lines this time round - most of the time they end up being my favourite lines. Within a year Niall has gone from being "the other one" to the true star of the band. Hopefully they don't just stick with three singles as X Factor acts tend to as this album is full of hits from "Rock Me" produced by Dr. Luke himself and a couple written by Ed Sheeran and the McFly boys, but they probably will in favour of releasing a cover of some rubbish song for Comic Relief.
December 28, 201212 yr There isn't going to be one album I love in this top 3 is there. Beauty And A Beat is pretty gr8 but I'm still waiting for the Biebz to blow me (obvious joke is obvious) away.

December 28, 201212 yr Oh sorry, I should have known that Taylor was your least favourite artist. :( :kink:
December 28, 201212 yr Author Winding up Griff aside.. http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc8zr2GfDL1r1p7nb_1350831163_cover.jpg #1: Taylor Swift - "Red" Choice picks: // The Moment I Knew // State Of Grace Taylor's 4th bible was the obvious choice here. Easily my most anticipated release of the year, America's sweetheart delivers once again and pips her "boyfriend" to the post. There are a couple that I'd skip, yes, but it is a SIXTEEN track album with three great bonus tracks (WHY wasn't "The Moment I Knew" on the standard edition, it's beautiful, heart-breaking, the best of the slower cuts). Her decision to work with different writers/producers paid off as Max Martin tracks "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble." are helping this to be her biggest era in the UK (and not to give spoilers but they are two of my favourite singles of the year), and the duets with Ed Sheeran & Gary Lightbody are both v.good. I could just gush, every track from the lead single onwards is perfect and it's so good to see her trying new things ('dubstep', "State Of Grace") and it paying off big-time. The fact she writes most of her songs by herself and remains classy is why I respect her so much as an artist.
December 29, 201212 yr I only love Warrior in your album chart (I'm guessing BTD isn't actually included?) Looking forward to your singles chart though based on your graphic!
December 29, 201212 yr Author Sympathy prize: Melanie Amaro - // Poor brave Melanie. I couldn't quite find room in my heart for The X Factor USA winner and BJSC failure to make it into the top 90, or to extend by a couple of songs so she could be part of a top 95. But listen to the songs all the same, they're still 8/10 moments just like any song had to be to get a feature here!! Kicking off the top 90 is this foreign language European smash and the first of a couple of appearances from female rapper Becky G (no Joseph the one still to come isn't bloody Cody Simpson, don't be ridiculous). The voice of 2012 (Leanne Mitchell who?) falls short with biggest hit "Next To Me" due to radio overplay. Miss Sandé shouldn't start fretting just yet though as we'll be seeing more of her (because frankly when are one or two appearances enough) later on. Not my usual fare but something about "Teenage Icon" by London band The Vaccines really caught on to me and I even checked out the album which isn't too bad! Get lost Dappy, your version sold no copies here. The band from Barbados have three songs (+ a featured credit) in this countdown, the lowest of which is 4th single "Explode" which suddenly clicked after a performance on 'Red Or Black'. Yes really, it does have viewers! The only track from French DJ David Guetta to feature here isn't "Titanium" or "She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)" but this here song! Very underrated and didn't suffer from overplay meaning it's still perfectly listenable right now. It also features the amaze line from Lil Wayne "they call me Tooji". Because Lil Wayne looks exactly like a camp Norwegian who came last at Eurovision 2012. http://i1.cdnds.net/11/33/550w_music_cover_drive.jpg

December 29, 201212 yr Author The first UK #1 on this list comes from Robbie Williams, a song which he wrote about our very own Joseph. I normally can't stand the man but there's no denying just how catchy this is (and who doesn't love candy). Poor Nathan. :( After smashing last year ("Glad You Came" made it into the top 10 EOY 2011), their only entry this year limps in at #84. And with One Direction continuing to fly near the top and Union J likely to have success in 2013, this isn't the time to let the quality slip. Well I guess this isn't too bad for someone who didn't even make the semi's of The X Factor. This was a 'blink and you'll miss it' #2 hit in my chart but suffered due to the lack of success. Fear not Aiden, you'll be back later with an even greater song. All I have to say about this one is http://www.moopy.org.uk/forums/images/smilies/grin.gif. The 2nd UK #1 to feature. Was a song named after one of the greatest movies of all time not going to smash (haters, you know which direction to go). http://i2.cdnds.net/12/23/618x411/music_capital_ball_7.jpg

December 29, 201212 yr Author To say Taylor is queen of my life and B.o.B had a top 5 single and album on my EOY two years ago, this ended up being a bit disappointing. It's no "Airplanes", that's for sure. But it's still a fairly nice song and to say both artists were/are big in the US, how was it not HUGE? Not quite as overplayed as "We Found Love", nowhere near as good as "Only Girl (In The World)". An initial disappointment from the woman who appears to rule the world, it ended up being a big grower but will forever be missing a little something. Another massive grower, the lead single from Bruno's 2nd album is one of his two singles that I can still bare to listen to. Not being as soppy/annoying/in your face as "Just The Way You Are", "Grenade" & "The Lazy Song" certainly works in his favour. He's beaten Rihanna! ohh. One of Bray's favourite songs of the year, I still don't like him but this is catchy and has a great instrumental. Will do for me. The first of two entries from both artists and the first of quite a few BJSC entries, it may have just missed the top 75 but I don't care, I love it! Such an anthem. And it's Swedish. http://www.mtvhive.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/iconpopiloveit_6401.jpg
December 29, 201212 yr #76 Icona Pop (feat. Charli XCX) - I Love It The first of two entries from both artists and the first of quite a few BJSC entries, it may have just missed the top 75 but I don't care, I love it! Such an anthem. And it's Swedish. I'm going to chart the track in my new chart of 2013 as the track is starting to grow on me now  yes it took a long time to finally click with me -_-
December 29, 201212 yr Poor Nathan. :( After smashing last year ("Glad You Came" made it into the top 10 EOY 2011), their only entry this year limps in at #84. No Chasing The Sun then? :o Bring on Union J though! :kink:
December 29, 201212 yr Stealing Iz' format kinda? For shame. Gr8 stuff though, 'I Can Only Imagine' is an excellent choice of Guetta song, really flew under the radar on here. And "they call me Tooji" really is one of the best lyrics of the year.
December 29, 201212 yr Author His thread has over 10,000 views. Who wouldn't be tempted to rip him off. :(
December 29, 201212 yr Author Very catchy song from Train which got a bit annoying in the end but I do prefer it to "Hey Soul Sister" and it's still good enough to just sneak into the top 75. Follow-up single "50 Ways To Say Goodbye" fell just short but a v.good era for them overall. A song that seemed to come out of nowhere and is nowing smashing in the US, it has a certain charm to it and has a very 'nice' hook that isn't too out-there to make it annoying. Sorry Griff. :( Another great song from The X Factor winners from last year but I do find it a tad overrated on here and something about the chorus is a bit jarring. Surprising I don't like it quite as much as I perhaps should given it appears to take some inspiration from "E.T", Katy Perry's best single from the Teenage Dream era. Florida rapper Flo Rida is very hit and miss but when he brings out a single featuring female vocals and/or a really good sample as is the case here, it's more likely to be in 'hit' territory. OH NELLY. Why was this not huge, sublime production, a great number of hooks and sexual innuendo. One of MANY amazing Nelly Furtado singles but alas. r.i.p her career. http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/_/74435976/Nelly%20Furtado%20Nelly%20PNG.png

December 29, 201212 yr Author What even is Spectrum? It won't be found here that's for sure. The much better "Never Let Me Go" only clicked quite recently when it was used in my current favourite drama, 'Nikita' (an American show watched by two people (on a good week, otherwise it's only me)). After initial disappointment, it's been a pretty good era for Flo - "Seven Devils" being used in 'Revenge' is easily moment of the year *.* The lucky gal to land at my favourite position is Lorqueen herself. A very worthy follow-up to Eurovision winner "Euphoria" and one of the highlights of her debut album. Sweet little number from Rebecca. Comes over as one of the most down-to-earth popstars around at the minute, stunning live. Her album was quite the grower and she has one more song to come later on. Stunning way to close off the Teenage Dream era (with it being the 2nd best single an' all), this song really clicked after going to see her movie. Isn't she lovely.
