So after gracing our television sets for the last nine years, Chatsworth Estate's beloved residents will be their final goodbyes in the new year.

 

Two facts for the upcoming series:

 

- Lip Gallagher (Jody Latham) returns after being absent for the previous five seasons

- Six year old Stella Gallagher takes charge of the Gallagher household

 

There is also a rumour that both Kev and Veronica (whom I have missed dearly since they departed) will return!

 

I really hope this once great show can remind everyone why it has been so popular over the years, and that the final season will do it justice!

Yes, i really hope the final season will do the show justice as the season 10 overall was hugely disappointing and i would say by far the worst season so far. I would love to see alot of old faces return but even getting Kev and Veronica would be great. While initially i was dissapointed Shameless was ending, i am now glad in a way as season showed the show has run its course. The show has provided us fans with some fantastic episodes in the past. I am lucky to have all the box sets so i will treasure them.

Cannot wait for this. My favourite British show ever I think.

The writers have promised old faces will return although Lip is the only person confirmed. My friends mum works as an extra (she's slim, has long, blonde curly hair and can often be seen in the Jockey) and she's often told me storyline details in the past (Paddy's heroin addiction, Mandy's death, Joe's death etc) but producers have asked everybody to keep tight lipped about this final season.

I was devasted when Debbie left, so it would be good to see her back but doubt she'd return.

She was such a professional on Shameless. It's a shame she left without so much as a goodbye. She was also my favourite of the Gallaghers in the first few seasons just because of how resilient she was with them :lol: And then Carl grew up and became a MAN and my favourite :wub:

Ya its a shame she left of screen, an exit or goodbye would have been nice. I miss Carl too he also grew into a good charactor, Mickey was missed hugely in series 10 i felt for the pure comic factor.

SHEILA SLAYS.

 

I would prefer Frank getting back with Sheila rather than Monica returning for the 100000th time.

Season 2 was definitely my favourite. The Christmas special followed by 10, absolutely flawless episodes. Each one was so well written. The show went downhill for me after this season as we said goodbye to Fiona, who - along with Veronica - is my favourite character...

 

I would also love to see Debbie return. What I don't understand is the majority of the actors who play past characters aren't even busy at present, it astounds me that none have returned.

 

Seasons 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 are my favourites. I found Season 4 to be shit and then 8-10 are watchable but nothing special.

 

EDIT: I miss Norma too, she disappeared along with Debbie at the end of season 6 without a goodbye

I would agree 1,2,3,5,6 were the best series, i also disliked series 4 but it did bounce back in 5 and 6. Series 8 and 9 were good but not as good but series 10 was hugely disappointing for me.

Ugh I hated Norma. She was such a forced character. I've actually loved every season (abit of a loon) but it definitely lost a bit of magic around the middle and returned a little of it in Season 8.

 

Frank and Sheila would be a brilliant end but it probably will be Monica.

 

 

 

 

I did like Norma but by the end her light had dimmed for me. Most people seem to want a Frank and Sheila union and it would be great i will live in hope it does but i dont know my gut feeling is we will see Monica. I do like Monica is just i much prefer Sheila.

Norma's personality changed drastically. She went from being VERY aggressive to pretty wimpy which was odd.

 

Maggie O' Neil's portrayal of Sheila was outstanding, I think everyone will agree with that - even people who aren't fans of Shameless. She was just so funny!

I'm a big fan of Karen and I'm glad she's stayed throughout the entire series - she is the only character (along with Daddy Gallagher) to have been with the show since the beginning.

 

Series 5 and 6 had some fantastic episodes. My favourite from season 5 has to be when Monica's mum turns up with Alzheimers, it's probably the only time I've ever felt any compassion for Monica. Paddy's storyline with Maureen, the heroin and finally Mandy's death in season 6 was very risky but I absolutely loved it! Maureen was bloody terrifying!

Mandy's death had me in tears :cry: Paddy's heroin story was so intense, and it ended spectacularly! There have been SO many highlights and incredible characters.

 

I agree about Karen, although it is so weird looking back at the first few seasons when she was just a school girl (and getting with Lip under the table and then Frank :drama:)
