Anyone else seen this? Based on a true story from the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor.

For what it was I thought it was pretty good and it was very powerful and moving, but not something I'd want to watch over and over. Parts of it were very hard to watch though, seeing it all happen and lots of injury detail.

I really wanna see this. My friend said it was good when she went to see it yesterday! Looks decent enough.

aye i don't usually wince at stuff like that but DAMN HER LEG WHEN CLIMBING THAT TREE, VOM

thought this was pretty good but some of the lines were just so cringey

I agree with that some/majority of the lines were cringey. But apart from that it was a surprisingly good film. I cried when he

made the phonecall to home and then again when they all reunited

. Dunno why, but on screen dads crying really gets me going. I havent seen 'Moulin Rouge' but a fee of my friends have said that Ewan McGregor is a good crier! Lol.

For a 12A though, the amount of gore that was in it was shocking. I really wasn't prepared to see as much as we did. And OMG HER LEG. *vomit*so well done.

I was very surprised that this got away with a 12A without any cuts being made. "The Hunger Games" had to cut a few seconds to tone it down iirc but it wasn't nearly as bad as this!

Yeah. 'The Hunger Games' "gore" was TERRIBLE  I genuinely couldn't believe the shots they took out to make it a 12A! There was barely anything there! (the threatening with a knife though was understandable though).

The part where the two women puke up their blood. Absolutely fowl.
