JLS - PROUD (-34 POINTS) fSaKoPKG5Q0 WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 1 OCC PEAK: 6 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 10 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 0 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 7 RUN: 10 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -34 Like JLS only other entry this year "Proud" has a single week in the OCC Top 10 with a beak of #6. I know this isn't a popular opinion but I really like this song and it is definitely my favourite ballad from them, and my favourite ballad from a boy band in a long while.
January 13, 201312 yr Author 96. MARCUS COLLINS - SEVEN NATION ARMY (-34 POINTS) uxevD8-bG9k WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 1 OCC PEAK:9 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 10 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 2 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 5 RUN: 10 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -34 Here is 2011's X Factor runner up, Marcus Collins with a pointless cover of a White Stripes classic. I would have thought that X Factor would steer clear of covers now, unless they were very obscure as it just reeks of unoriginality, esp. for a debut. Plus, I love The White Stripes version, so I never was going to like this one. SNA finishes higher than Proud as it recieved two "+5"s compared to Proud's none.
January 13, 201312 yr Author 95. TAYLOR SWIFT - WE ARE NEVER EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER (-34 POINTS) WA4iX5D9Z64 WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 10 OCC PEAK: 4 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 6 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 34 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 15 RUN: 7-5-7-6-4-5-7-X-6-8-7 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -3.4 Now next up is a song with a low ranking that will disappoint a lot of you, obviously one of the more polarising hits of the year, and your probably wondering how it could come so low when it only had fifteen "-5"s yet thirty-four "+5"s (the sixth highest of the entire year), so for this song only I've decided to show its scoring in all of the points sections (the reason I don't do this for every song is that it would take too long). POSITIVE SCORES: Thirty-four "+5"s, eight "+4"s, twelve "+3"s, seven "+2"s, sixteen "+1"s Total: +268 NEGATIVE SCORES: Fifteen "-5"s, twenty-seven "-4"s, twenty-two "-3"s, eighteen "-2"s, seventeen "+1"s Total: -302 Leaving a total of -34! The songs total of thirty-four "+5"s does mean it finishes ahead of SNA which had two "+5"s
January 13, 201312 yr So people are very split when it comes to Taylor Swift - you either love her or hate her! :P
January 13, 201312 yr Author 94. ONE DIRECTION - LIVE WHILE WE'RE YOUNG (-33 POINTS) AbPED9bisSc WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 2 OCC PEAK: 3 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 8 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 4 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 8 RUN: 8-8 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -16.5 One Direction's best performing song on the list is this one, objectively listening to the song it seems a fun pop song, but I cannot bring myself to buy any of their music as I find the band themselves (IMHO) very offputting. But I agree this was their best effort of the year.
January 13, 201312 yr Author 93. SWAY - LEVEL UP (-32 POINTS) 6ymcw8bSET4 WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 1 OCC PEAK: 8 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 9 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 1 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 4 RUN: 9 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -32 This was a bit of a surprise T10 hit at the time, and the only time Sway has been in the T10, this single also features an officially uncredited Kelsey. I do like this song, I really like the chorus and was glad when it made the T10.
January 13, 201312 yr So people are very split when it comes to Taylor Swift - you either love her or hate her! :P Might be a case of people liking it at first then growing to hate it later. Even so, I probably account for like 5 of the 15 -5s
January 13, 201312 yr Author 92. LAWSON - STANDING IN THE DARK (-32 POINTS) PsbPkZPKEuY WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 1 OCC PEAK: 6 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 9 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 1 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 4 RUN: 9 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -32 This was the latest Lawson single to hit T10,and to freefall after one week from the placing, although this song had a more buffered fall than the other three managing three weeks top twenty :cheer:. On relisten this sound nice enough, I can see why these boys are doing moderately well for a boyband connoisseur who doesn't like dance music. SITD finished higher than LU as it recieved one "+4" compared to LU's none.
January 13, 201312 yr I think I liked Level Up when it was released, but I haven't a clue what it sounds like now!
January 13, 201312 yr Author 91. RITA ORA - SHINE YA LIGHT (-28 POINTS) DH182aLsVig WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 1 OCC PEAK: 10 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 9 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 1 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 5 RUN: 9 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -28 And the last song to feature Rita Ora on this rundown, which unfortunately for me is my least favourite, it just seems an unimaginative effort, to do the "inspirational" song that a lot of female pop stars are doing at the moment.

Edited January 13, 201312 yr by Leonardo
January 13, 201312 yr Sadly could see my fave song of the year/decade/EVER (not quite) 'Language' dropping out pretty soon, IIRC it got negative points in its only week on this :(
January 13, 201312 yr Interesting that Shine Ya Light is the highest placed Rita Ora song, yet appears to be the least liked on Buzzjack.
January 13, 201312 yr Author 90. JLS - THE HOTTEST GIRL IN THE WORLD (-25 POINTS) 0z0rcrG9fBQ WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 1 OCC PEAK: 6 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 9 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 0 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 6 RUN: 9 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -25 And the higher of the two JLS one-weekers rests at 90, this song is the least JLS-like song they have done, and indeed without prior knowledge of who did it, I don't think I would be able to guess who's singing it. It's a decent enough song.
January 13, 201312 yr Author 89. FAR EAST MOVEMENT FT. JUSTIN BIEBER - LIVE MY LIFE (-25 POINTS) Avx35Mjkkhw WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 1 OCC PEAK: 7 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 9 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 1 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED:4 RUN: 9 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -25 This IMHO is the best thing that either artist has contributed to the top ten, a fun pop song which is ace on a night out with that catchy chorus. LML finishes higher than THGITW as it recieved one "+5" compared to THGITW's none.
January 13, 201312 yr Author 88. CONOR MAYNARD - CAN'T SAY NO (-24 POINTS) ehSJ3e8_NgU WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 2 OCC PEAK: 2 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 7 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 1 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 1 RUN: 7-7 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -12 The highest of Conor Maynard's solo singles, but he has his collaboration with Ne-Yo to come. This is my favourite of his three T10 hits. It's a very good pop song, and shows he has potential.
January 13, 201312 yr Author 87. KE$HA - DIE YOUNG (-23 POINTS) NOubzHCUt48 WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 2 OCC PEAK: 7 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 9 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 3 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 4 RUN: 9-8 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -11.5 Having never been a fan of Ke$ha (apart from 'Take It Off'), this song is alright to me. Typical club fodder, serves it purpose.
January 13, 201312 yr Author 86. EXAMPLE - SAY NOTHING (-21 POINTS) HdoP2UmnEBM WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 2 OCC PEAK: 2 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 8 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 1 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 2 RUN: 6-9 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -10.5 OK, when it first came out I only liked this but it grew on me, and it's definitely one of my favourite songs of the year. Definitely my favourite Example song, bit of a shame that it's this low, but you can't win them all. And no, I didn't give it its sole "+5". But I should have, hindsight is a bitch.
January 14, 201312 yr Author 85. LAWSON - TAKING OVER ME (-19 POINTS) uqsSKINniQQ WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 1 OCC PEAK: 3 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 8 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 1 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 4 RUN: 8 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -19 So the highest ranking of Lawson's three one week wonders is "Taking Over Me", this stands out from the other two in sense of genre with a more upbeat feel to it (which I quite liked), and it also had the highest OCC peak as well.
January 15, 201312 yr Author 84. LMFAO - SEXY AND I KNOW IT (-19 POINTS) wyx6JDQCslE Stats relate to 2012 WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 1 OCC PEAK: 9 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 9 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 1 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 5 RUN: 9 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -19 Next is the song which a lot of Buzzjack hates, but I really like it as great novelty song. Which does exactly what it sets out to do, having only one week in 2012's top 10, it does a lot better than it did last year. (127th and in the bottom 10) SAIKI finishes higher than TOM as it recieved two "+4s" compared to TOM's none.
