Like JLS only other entry this year "Proud" has a single week in the OCC Top 10 with a beak of #6. I know this isn't a popular opinion but I really like this song and it is definitely my favourite ballad from them, and my favourite ballad from a boy band in a long while.

Here is 2011's X Factor runner up, Marcus Collins with a pointless cover of a White Stripes classic. I would have thought that X Factor would steer clear of covers now, unless they were very obscure as it just reeks of unoriginality, esp. for a debut. Plus, I love The White Stripes version, so I never was going to like this one. SNA finishes higher than Proud as it recieved two "+5"s compared to Proud's none.

Now next up is a song with a low ranking that will disappoint a lot of you, obviously one of the more polarising hits of the year, and your probably wondering how it could come so low when it only had fifteen "-5"s yet thirty-four "+5"s (the sixth highest of the entire year), so for this song only I've decided to show its scoring in all of the points sections (the reason I don't do this for every song is that it would take too long).
POSITIVE SCORES: Thirty-four "+5"s, eight "+4"s, twelve "+3"s, seven "+2"s, sixteen "+1"s Total: +268
NEGATIVE SCORES: Fifteen "-5"s, twenty-seven "-4"s, twenty-two "-3"s, eighteen "-2"s, seventeen "+1"s Total: -302

Leaving a total of -34! The songs total of thirty-four "+5"s does mean it finishes ahead of SNA which had two "+5"s

So people are very split when it comes to Taylor Swift - you either love her or hate her! :P

One Direction's best performing song on the list is this one, objectively listening to the song it seems a fun pop song, but I cannot bring myself to buy any of their music as I find the band themselves (IMHO) very offputting. But I agree this was their best effort of the year.

This was a bit of a surprise T10 hit at the time, and the only time Sway has been in the T10, this single also features an officially uncredited Kelsey. I do like this song, I really like the chorus and was glad when it made the T10.

So people are very split when it comes to Taylor Swift - you either love her or hate her! :P

 

Might be a case of people liking it at first then growing to hate it later. Even so, I probably account for like 5 of the 15 -5s :lol:

This was the latest Lawson single to hit T10,and to freefall after one week from the placing, although this song had a more buffered fall than the other three managing three weeks top twenty :cheer:. On relisten this sound nice enough, I can see why these boys are doing moderately well for a boyband connoisseur who doesn't like dance music. SITD finished higher than LU as it recieved one "+4" compared to LU's none.

I think I liked Level Up when it was released, but I haven't a clue what it sounds like now!

Sadly could see my fave song of the year/decade/EVER (not quite) 'Language' dropping out pretty soon, IIRC it got negative points in its only week on this :(

Interesting that Shine Ya Light is the highest placed Rita Ora song, yet appears to be the least liked on Buzzjack.

And the higher of the two JLS one-weekers rests at 90, this song is the least JLS-like song they have done, and indeed without prior knowledge of who did it, I don't think I would be able to guess who's singing it. It's a decent enough song.

This IMHO is the best thing that either artist has contributed to the top ten, a fun pop song which is ace on a night out with that catchy chorus. LML finishes higher than THGITW as it recieved one "+5" compared to THGITW's none.

OK, when it first came out I only liked this but it grew on me, and it's definitely one of my favourite songs of the year.
