50. LANA DEL RAY - BORN TO DIE (17 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 2
OCC PEAK: 9 (1wk)
RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 4
AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 4
AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 2
RUN: 4-3
AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE 8.5

I was the person who gave this song both its -5s, I really hate it, just as I do with the rest of Del Ray's discography. I find her music and this song extremely dreary. I am aware that I'm in the Buzzjack minority on this one though, judging by her high placing.

Truly a Marmite song, I would have thought Buzzjack and indeed myself would have loathed this song, but I really enjoyed it and it appears a lot of Buzzjack did to, despite of it's ten "-5"s.

Perhaps a bit of a suprisingly low placing for Katy Perry's 2012 #1, but the singer still has Wide Awake representing her. The song has seemed to be the less well-received among fans, but I think it's OK, better than Last Friday Night anywhoo.

One of those songs with a deceptive peak, despite peaking at #4 it outperformed a few number ones in terms of airplay and sales. All of my friends love this song, I really like it, but with 11"-5"s at leasta few of you hate it. TC finishes higher than POM as it received ten "+4"s compared to POM's six.

Finishing me off for tonight it's an unusually high place for Usher in this year's placing. Indeed there are only six further entries with only one week's worth of points. (DNA, Euphoria, One Day Like This, Running Up That Hill, Something New & Try) Fun. & Carly Rae Jepsen prevented Usher from getting his debut Reshuffle #1 with this superb song, the best R&B song i've heard in years.
Bringing to an end the short run of songs I like, is this at number #70. I song which I couldn't remember and having relistened to it today can see why, it's instantly forgettable with no substance.

Did you not remember the instrumental to the chorus? It's honestly used everywhere!

Very surprised to see Kiss the Stars so high considering it's referred to as the most forgettable and simple song to reach the Top 10 or whatever.

No, it must have bypassed me, remember Kiss The Stars a bit better, but when i try and think of one of her songs post-Gravity, it always ends up turning into All About Tonight for me.

Another one of Calvin Harris' numerous #2s up next is his collaboration with Ne-Yo (who always seems to better on this rundown as a featuring artist). I love Harris' 2011-12 era, I think the songs are definitely some of the best dance songs out there.

The 17th highest placed OCC #1 on this list, I didn't do expect this to do as well as it did as I assumed Buzzjack generally hated these type of covers, but this song manages to do moderately well. Probably because the source material was so good.

The first of Nicki's two solo efforts to place today, I like this song a lot better than Starships (which to me sounds brilliant in a club, but lacklustre when played by oneself) however they both pale in comparison to Super Bass IMO. PTA finishes higher than TPOL as it recieved five "+5"s compared to TPOL's three.

It's like "Good Feeling", but much better and with a better video. For a second year running, Avicii clobbers Flo Rida finishing 92 places higher, in 2011 it finished 12th to Flo Rida's 112th.

The first of the RESHUFFLE #1s to fall out this year, the song has still done well for a song with a single week's worth of points (Only 5 more to go), the song is one of Pink's best ever singles, which is some feat for me as she's got one of my favourite back catalogue's for a female artist. This is one of the only times, I haven't posted the official video just because the AMA live performance is amazing. Pink still has her other Reshuffle #1 to come. Try finishes higher than Levels as it received five "+5"s compared to Levels' one.

Avicii is just the worst thing ever.

Great to see Avicii as high as #42 :D Also nice to see 'Try' outside the top 40, it's too overrated on this site. Also a big yay for Gangnam Style in the top 40, even though it got lots of minus points in the last few weeks from people getting sick of the song ;)

Despite missing out to Olly Murs "Troublemaker" on both OCC & Reshuffle charts, Girls Aloud's 2012 comeback single manages to weigh-in fairly well considering its short-lived run in the top 10. I thought the song was good, obviously not as strong as their back catalogue.

Last year's #1, falls somewhat short this year and enters at #39, but it does manage to be the second biggest leftover 2011 single (after Colplay's Paradise). Both Rihanna and Calvin have entries left so a consecutive EOY #1 isn't out of question.

Another OCC #1 and the second of Will.I.Am's to appear (he has Scream & Shout still to come), this song isn't really my cup of tea. I can't explain why I don't like it I just don't.
