I find that totally bizarre how albums and single's shoot up the chart when the artist is on tour.

Surely everyone who is going to the Born This Way Ball ALREADY OWN her albums? (especially as the price for a ticket was £80).

Yeah i know :lol:

 

Although i'm guessing a fair percentage just got tickets because they like the artist's singles etc, and then get the album before hand so they know more than 8 songs on the setlist. Also if people get tickets for mates/etc, they will be inclined to buy the album if they didn't have it already or after the actual show.

 

It also drums up a lot of hype for the artist in papers/online and radios will play their songs a bit more around the tour dates.
