This would be SO good! She's been really underlooked by the BRITs in the past - she definitely should have won Best International Female at either the 2009 or 2010 awards. Perhaps Lifetime Achievement I know she's not British, but I can but hope... I definitely hope she gets a lot more UK promotion in during this era either way, two (albeit lengthy) sets is far too little for the promotion she did for 4 here.

Confirmed:

Beyoncé added to the performers at the Brit Awards

Beyoncé is heading to London next month to perform at the 2013 Brit Awards. The US singer's been added to the line-up for February 20th, which already includes Mumford and Sons, Muse and One Direction.

Beyoncé has been working on her fifth solo album but also recently unveiled a new track, "Nuclear", with Destiny's Child.

Emeli Sandé has the most Brit nominations, up for four awards including British Album of the Year.

2013 looks set to be a busy return to work for Beyoncé Knowles, after she took time out in 2012 following the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy, who recently turned one. On 21 January 2012 Beyoncé will perform the American national anthem at Barack Obama's second presidential inauguration. She'll follow that in February by performing at the high profile half-time show at the US Super Bowl. Then later in February Beyoncé will release a documentary film about herself called Life is But a Dream.

I'm covering the brits for radio 1. Beyoncé is performing at them. #goingtotouchherbum #probablywillbearrested #wellworthitmate

BEYONCÉ KNOWLES will perform at the 2013 Brit Awards. The singer joins the line-up alongside British acts One Direction, Muse, Emeli Sandé, Mumford & Sons and Robbie Williams, who will also take to the stage.

The news marks the start of a particularly busy year for Beyoncé, who is also preparing for a Destiny's Child reunion, the launch of her first fly-on-the-wall documentary and a much-hyped performance at the US Super Bowl half-time show.

This year's Brit Awards will take place on Wednesday February 20, to be presented by James Corden and broadcast live on ITV1.

Amazing news :D Hopefully she does a medley with her new single thrown in :D

Why a medley? I'd rather have a full performance of her new single.

Why a medley? I'd rather have a full performance of her new single.

Because as random as it is that she's performing, the BRITs are about an artist's achievements, unlike the American award shows where every artist tries to flog the 10th single off their new album. Plus, you've not even heard the new single yet. I'm hoping it's great, but if it's not, then it's not going to go down well with a full BRITs performance, and as I said earlier, Beyoncé deserves the recognition for all of her great hits in the past.

Yes, but she was already nominated in 2009, which was the reason why she wasn't nominated in 2010...

I'm a stan and I will like anything she puts out fortunately or not.
