Posted January 23, 201312 yr so another producer / writer has confirmed that Britney is not thief, if she likes the song from someone who have wrote for her she will sing and that's all, she never ask for writing credits even if she do some changes.. TGJ: Now, switching gears a bit, there’s often a lot of talk about writing credits, producer credits, etc. How much truth is there to all of that talk (i.e. giving up credits) and have you ever been on the receiving end of this? Bangladesh: Man, that’s the game and that’s just how it is. You got to be a big artist when you can ask and demand something like that, but it happens. It’s not always a bad thing though because sometimes producers give beats away to no-name artists too (for no credit). Then, sometimes if it’s an Usher or Beyonce type of act, you’re ok with giving it away because if they sing over your song, they’re going to bring great attention to it Producers don’t mind giving CERTAIN artist the credit. But, it’s mostly African Americans that do that kind of stuff. I hate to say it, but it’s true. I know people that have written for Britney Spears and different people that are in the pop world, and they don’t ask for that kind of stuff. Britney don’t ask for shit. If you wrote it, you just wrote it. She sings it and leaves. It’s dog eat dog out there man. And, I’m sure there are some pop acts who demand full credit, but I’m just speaking from experiences I’ve had or heard about. http://thatgrapejuice.net/2013/01/grape-ju...ews-bangladesh/ That's why I ADORE Britney, so humble and genuine  Others should take a lesson from her. :D
January 23, 201312 yr Seems slightly racist... We've heard this story millions of times anyway, I don't really see why the writer of a song matters anyway. If it's good, it's good. If it's bad, it's bad.
January 24, 201312 yr It surely matters to them, considering they're being cheated out of royalties from the song? It isn't fair when an artist gives themselves credit for something that someone else has done. Whether it's Beyonce and Britney or Rebecca Black and The Saturdays, it shouldn't be allowed. Fair enough if you make changes or whatever, give yourself some of the credit, but don't try and make it/say you did it on your own/most of it. (Same goes for anything, not just the writing - quite a few artists like to have a say on the production too, don't they?)

If it's bad, it's bad. I think it was more meant that it is more apparent in the hip-hop/ rap community. Beyonce is basically the main suspect of all this. And if anything anyone can agree on, Britney is the most humble person in the industry... that has been around for 10+ years. This is a main component of the artists I fall for.
