The series follows an FBI agent who finds himself in the middle of a network of serial killers, when a diabolical serial killer uses special technology to create it. In Entertainment Weekly, features TV writer Melissa Maerz wrote in a preview article, "Purefoy plays Joe Carroll, a former college professor who taught the works of Poe and killed young women in the gothic hero's honor—until he got caught. Since then he's been spending hours on a computer in the prison library, building a social network of copycat killers who hang on his every command. When the series begins, he's just escaped from death row with help from those followers, and the FBI calls in former agent Ryan Hardy (Bacon)—who brought down Joe the first time—to consult on the case".

I can see myself going crazy over this each week so it's best we have a thread for it. Just when I was about to give up on US television this comes along. :D I just hope the rest of the episodes are as good as the pilot!

I'm going to be sticking with it I think. It's very good, but I just can't get over how bland Kevin Bacon is in it... he's got little emotion in everything he does in this. I find him unlikeable really. I do hope it was only for the pilot episode though, but there wasn't much conviction from him and a lot of it felt wooden and unnatural. The rest of the cast I can work with though! It's a shame

Maggie Grace's

character couldn't last a bit longer, but we shall see how this goes.

Yeah, I'm not really mad about Kevin Bacon tbh. He's not bad but I don't think he fits his character very well.

Maggie Grace's character was great. Such a shame :(

Really looking forward to the second episode, though. Loving all the twists with the 'followers'!

They're like EVERYWHERE. I have a hunch that detective bitch is one of dem followers too omg! And maybe even Kevin Bacon's character as well! And that geek guy! omg they are ALL followers *.*

The latest episode was amazing! That bit with the Edgar Poe masks! And

Emma killing her mother was just *.* because of the Deftones track! <3

Divine.

This is moving at a rather nice pace at the moment. I'm liking it more and more with each passing episode! Kevin Bacon is still quite cold and not doing anything for me at the moment, but everyone else (just about) are doing a mighty fine job! Particularly James Purefoy! British guys really do make the best baddies, don't they!?

Looking forward to finding out what happens on Monday! I watched a sneak peak on their facebook page and Will has a "secret" apparently. Really intrigued as to what this "secret" is!

This is annoying me, no end! It just seems to be going round and round with more and more "followers". They get so, very close and it's tiring. :drama: I dunno if I can cope. I wouldn't mind if it was just two or three times or something, but the fact it seems/feels like it's the same old stuff, every episode is boring me a little.

Having said that though, I am enjoying it. It's just frustrating as I don't have the best attention span :P

I'm quite liking it. It's very Person of Interest, but less procedural. I just think it's a bit predictable how there's so many people in on it.

The last episode was a bit of a game changer now the 3 followers have been split up. Kevin Bacon's brilliant in this though.

As much as I loved the last episode it was kind of obvious the local police were in on the whole thing. And Kevin Bacon was really good when he was held at gunpoint. Definitely saw a warmer side to him!

I don't know how I FEEL after watching the finale. It was good but

killing off Parker, REALLY???? Also, the end was a bit predictable.

It'll be interesting to see how they continue this in the second season.

Agreed, but it was shocking. She was such a good character, but her death was motivational.

Anyway now it's finished, it is good but so patchy. Too much emphasis on the Cult, not enough on the FBI. Even though I saw the ending an absolute mile off it was pretty shocking. Don't believe for one second Joe Carroll died in that fire either...
