Oh, I'm LOVING the sound of We're Still Kids - her vocals don't sound great, but the track sounds like it has GREAT potential.

I like them ALL god f***ing damnit!

'Skyline' sounds like it'll be better than 'Shout It Out', it's no winner though. Both the Cookies N Beans and Jay Jay songs are dull from the clips. Unsure of Mary's track, that's one I definitely need to hear in full to get a proper idea of it. I'm unsure if Eric Gadd will qualify, if he does it'll be AC. Don't like YOHIO at all, though I think he may qualify. 'Porslin' has the most potential to be amazing I think and I'm loving 'We're Still Kids'!

Roll on Saturday! :w00t:

OMG YOHIO sounds amazing. Yes please! Imagine that on the Eurovision stage. *.*

Skyline sounds about the best that one can hope for from male Scandi-pop so that is looking good. Feiner/Caisa and Cookies N Beans also sounding rather amazing - promising start.

Yeah, don't get your hopes up.

Yeah, don't get your hopes up.

I do expect the Swedish public to be a little less crazy than that for sending something on home turf.

But the song itself sounds very respectable and if that clip is representative of the full minute it should get a lot of votes.

I think Gosa sounds like it could be great in studio form, but her live vocals are AWFUL  No way is she getting through with a vocal that (no way is she getting through anyway).

From the others, I'm really liking the sound of We're Still Kids and Skyline! Should be a really good semi all things considered.

Porslin is nice but as musical theatre as a tribute to Kurt from Glee was always going to be.

Disappointing selections of songs there, couldn't care less about any of them!

I think David & YOHIO will go to the final, Anna & Michael Feiner/Caisa to AC, then 5th-8th: Eric Gadd, Jay-Jay Johnson, Cookies N Beans and Mary N'Diaye in that order. Seriously disappointed with that Mary N'Diaye track, could be a grower but at this moment in time it just sounds irritating.

My inevitably wildly inaccurate post-clips predix:

DTG: David Lindgren, YOHIO

AC: Feiner/Caisa, Anna Järvinen

5th: Eric Gadd

6th: Cookies N Beans

7th: Mary N'Diaye

8th: Jay-Jay Johanson

I'm surprised you see Jay-Jay finishing any higher than 8th!

From the short clip, it seems to be my favourite from the heat! I think it might do a bit better than most people think.

My thoughts are dangerously EXACTLY the same. Maybe switch Mary and 3 fatties...

I just think it seems like a pretty predictable heat.

*David Lindgren goes out 6th*

Opening thoughts, based on the first listen of each;

David Lindgren: Sounds big and well produced, crap staging/presentation akin to something from a low budget sitcom. 8.5/10

Cookies and Beans: This sounds quite good, a lot more anthemic than I expected, First Aid Kit meets The Pierces meets Wilson Phillips. Have a feeling I might like this a lot in full. 8.5/10

Jay-Jay Johanson: Not sure what to make of this, I like the production, quite experimental but it doesn't sound overly melodic. 7/10

Mary N'diaye: Repetitive, seems to be aiming for the Haba Haba/Allez Ola Ole vote, it's nice enough but not hugely my cup of tea. 7.5/10

Eric Gadd: Love the production, seems quite catchy, I wouldn't rule this out if he's a big star. 8.5/10

Michael Feiner & Caisa: Getting Dilba vibes from Caisa, not a very natural star. Great hook, sounds like a chart hit (from 2 or 3 years ago). 8.5/10

Anna Jarvinen: This is all very grand and beautiful instrumentation. Hard to hear a melody in that clip so it's hard to rate. 8/10

Yohio: TBC, I couldn't find a working link (the one above goes to a picture), anybody got one?

The Mary N'Diaye one was doing that for me earlier but it eventually worked (and the YOHIO one is working for me now). Maybe try it again?

INTERESTING.

I can see YOHIO being quite visually impressive. I reckon that'll have really done down Järvinen though, she's probably going at least AC.
Seems fairly comprehensive, I'm not surprised at Eric Gadd doing fairly well here. Thought We're Still Kids might have gone down a little better.
