I have been for some time Building a completely new version of my Personnal Charts database which is now in an advanced state and am looking for people who would like to use such a database.

 

I will only allow those who want to become testers who are willing to make full use of the program including the import and export engine.

 

you will also need a Google Talk Account plus I make use of The remote desktop for training and help solving any problems found with versions.

 

This program until fully compiled will require you have a copie of MS Office 2002/3

 

This program once complete will NOT BE FREE those chosen as testers will be given a full licenced copie free of change and as long as they remain testers and actifly help with new version they will continue to have acces to all the goodies.

 

I would prefer People who I know but would concider anybody in the first instance.

I Am expecting to get the latest updates ready for the testers sometime next month so will contact those sucsseful around that time

Would we be required to do anything other than beta testing? :unsure: I've been looking for something efficient like this to keep as a database for my personal charts, as excel and word are so damn time-consuming when it comes to stuff like this. So, for this database, do you just input the information for each song and it keeps it and displays chart run? 'Cos it is so annoying having to find each song's chart run from my word storage.

It is a fully relation db you only need add a record once and it has an inbuilt search engine plus and import/export system that enables users to exchange charts it can be used for both national and personal charts to add your personal chart once the first chart is added it will only require you to add a last position for the next weeks chart or add/select the details for new entries Or Re's.

 

The import engine has been build to enable users to correct the mess that's been found with The Flat file systems esp where they contain more than one chart.

Well you might have to, I tried to register to google, followed the instructions to the letter, and it won't let me log on, :angry: its telling me my password is not compatible with my user name :cry: spend a whole hour on it, not wasting anymore time on it. :angry: :rofl:

I want to use google talk as it's what I've been using with other testers otherwise I could end up with MSN and I realy dont want that.

 

Sorry your having trouble I'll mail the powers that be and let them know.

 

Nobody has to follow things to the letter it's just my preference as to selecting those Who may become testers. I have a number of programs and quite a number of testers My systems would be a mess if I used each persons preferences but I do make exceptions as I am easy going Realy but it does depend on the person.

 

sorry but Like all Companys I have a selection process.

i wish i could help but i woul dbe no good at it,database dreams was a billiant brilliant site and i miss it so so much

Thanks to those who PMed me I'll look at each and be intouch hopefully by the weekend.

 

And feel the fever don't despair mate you never know whats round the next corner but all I'll say is If it was to comback then it will make an impresion that you can be sure so it would be worth waiting for. LOL

 

And you wouldn't need any db experance all you need for now is MS Office 2002/3 and google chat plus if you want me to activally help ya the remote desktop enabled.
