Has it been doing well for real tho? Because i'm pretty sure some of their previous singles entered the top 100 on iTunes just with pre-orders while What About Us never did. Or were these memories all dreams?
30 Days went to #11 on iTunes, the highest What About Us got on iTunes was around #82. Although it's hung around the top 200 for much longer!

If I remember correctly their past pre-orders shot up the charts then plummeted back down before showing up again just before release. What About Us has been hovering around the #120 - #150 position for a good few weeks now, and it's still two weeks before release.

Has anyone heard anything about them going back to America? I'm genuinely beginning to think they aren't going back at all.

They were meant to be going back on Valentines Day, but I dont think they will be back until after Rochelles baby is born.

The frustrating thing is when they go on their "holidays". They could even do a radio talk wherever they go!

The Saturdays are actually back to work now.

They had last week off I believe because obviously they have an intense promo schedule coming up.

I'm really hoping they manage to grab some bigger promo slots than just Daybreak/This Morning etc...

I agree 30 days may have shot to #11 but that's because it had 'Turn Myself in' as the B side which Sats fans wanted for ages.

They seem to be pretty steady so hopefully that indicates WAU may stick around the top 40 for longer as opposed to shooting top 10 and come Friday falling to 15 or so.

I'm still truly agog they are not offering the Sats only version as a download, AWFUL decision, saying that two versions may stop it gaining momentum. Ala Missing You.
I don't understand why they aren't offering the Sats Only version either. It's an extra sale for them, especially since some fans usually buy each single version of their songs (remixes and stuff).
I would put it on an EP with the 2nd adventure remix and somebody else's life throughout the week (on release week/following week)

I wonder where What About Us will end up this week on the radio?

30 Days

Radio Airplay: 100-70-36-33(C-List)-28-19-73-X

What About Us

Radio Airplay: 75-50-?(C-List)

I guess 30 Days actually did have better radio airplay before release, quite surprised about that as Capital snubbed 30 Days!

Well WAU was on capital about 30 mins ago, so it is getting some play at least, it seems to be very popular on tv, I see it all the time which is a good sign
This might sound stupid but what's the point of them going on Radio 1 when they've already been playlisted? Surely it's not going to really boost them in any way besides they'll maybe play What About Us an extra twice or something?

Maybe to try and promote it to the listeners, remind them when its out? Maybe Radio 1 could boost it to B List?

It is B-List :)

Mollie was in the US to record a song she wrote with BSB.

They sold over 2,000 signed CDs thru the website too, so a nice little addition to the digital sales

Some songs are played more frequently than others, even if they are all playlisted. My Heart Takes Over and 30 Days didn't get many plays despite being in the A-List at some point.

So yeah, it's better to keep the station happy visiting them as often as they can.

Yeah, being playlisted means (I think) that they have to play you a certain number of times a day, but you can be sure than among all the A-listed tracks, The Saturdays are most likely one of the least played ones. The worst is that Radio 1 usually gets rid of them so fast the week after.

In a way, I'm glad radios still "support" them (by that, I only mean they still get playlisted) and I know I shouldn't moan about it because some songs don't get playlisted, but then, we don't have to be fools about it either. It's pretty clear that even though they still show support, radios do the bare minimum for the girls.

Capital seem to be playing this every time I get into the car!

I went shopping last week and it was playing when I drove into Manchester and 4 hours later, when I got back in the car, it was on again!

I think any 'appearance' of any sort is better than nothing at all!
