NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :(

That sucks donkey dick

Um... bit of an extreme response?

Anyway, I don't really understand why everyone is saying that Peter Kay's new song will go to #1 when the last song that he did missed the Top 10.

Hopefully it won't be and hopefully the fact Justin is on the record will turn some people away, hopefully with backing from physical copies and strong pre-orders The Sats would get the edge, this is just wishful thinking however. Although the girls would definitely benefit image wise should they beat him to number 1, as I doubt people would disown them like Cascada when they beat MJ to number 1 after his death... that was the death of them!

I've been watching other releases closely and hopefully Nelly's Hey Porsche won't gain so much interest as it's leaped up the iTunes chart these past couple of days, but even then I can't see it hitting number 1, I will be shocked if it did.

The Saturdays: 'We'll always be hoping for a No.1 single'

Published Friday, Mar 15 2013

The Saturdays have revealed that they'll always be hoping to top the singles chart.

The girl group - who release new cut 'What About Us' on Sunday (March 17) - have yet to claim a number one single, despite racking up 11 Top 10 hits so far in their career.

"You'll always be hoping, but I don't want to count our chickens and get too excited," Una Healy told Digital Spy.

"If it doesn't happen I don't want to feel disappointed, because we've got this far without ever having one."

She continued: "It would definitely be a cherry on top if we ever did get one. I won't put all my hopes on it, but I'll be very pleased if we get a good Top 10 position of some sort."

Talking about the decision to release 'What About Us' as their new single, Healy explained: "We all loved it after we demoed it and it gave us a really good feeling.

"It's a fresh start for a new album as it's got that slight reggae vibe, but is still a dance pop record."

The singer also described Sean Paul's feature on the track as the "perfect" fit and revealed that they have kept in touch with him since recording the song.

"He's coming over next week to do another performance with us, so we're keeping in touch all the time. He's lovely," Healy said.

YES ^ Team Sats we need to request!!

Tough week for the girls. :o

One Direction are back at #1 after their Comic Relief performance, Justin Timberlake's music video for 'Mirrors' is out this week plus his album (so more versions of the song) and Bruno/Pink are hanging around the top five as well and are refusing to budge.

Ireland Itunes - #5 (Going up quickly)

Australian Album Chart Itunes - #81

Plus, apparently Mirrors and When I Was Your Man are both top 3-5 in the airplay charts? And Pink top 10? That's huge loads of airplay. Add to that that they are bigger stars than the girls and there you go. :(

But to be honest, top 5 is really goooooooood. Especially if it has great sales.

EDIT : As I posted in the other thread, they were and are still #5 indeed. 0.635

One Direction has recieved a big push, but I believe it will start dropping soon. The other songs are strong but they've been available for weeks already so it's not impossible to beat them.

We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm actually disappointed the song hasn't climbed more on airplay this week.

I agree top 5 would be great, but I believe 60,000 sales is achievable for The Saturdays to get to number one, it's just a shame regarding their limited television promo. EP pre-orders and physicals pre-order I think guarantee it's going to do well. If 30 days can manage 35,000 with much worse airplay...

I think the song will do quite well, I mean it has been in the top 200 on albums for a good while now (probs best they have ever had) meaning there is obviously a demand for the song! Awell as this they have had the quickest amount of views on youtube too that they have had :)
Tomorrow will be very intense :)

Indeed! Trying not to get my hopes up is hard! :P What will be will be I guess. Top 3/5 is still great and I'd be happy with that.

The Saturdays are on The Matt Edmondson Show on Radio 1 this morning! :D
