Awesome! :w00t:

Amazing to see f***in' Problems at #8! :o I can't believe it. I hope it gets even higher.

I hope Beauty and a Beat can drop out the charts now. Justin's next single, Right Here, is climbing the charts now, I think it'll be bigger than Beauty and a Beat.

Icona Pop charting in the US before the UK is bizarre. Glad to see 'I Love It' make the Hot 100, I thought it would be one of those worldwide hits that never make it to America.

Me too tbh, tho the main reason why it hasn't charted here of course is it hasn't been released (is there a date yet?)

Great to see Same Love debut, hope it can smash like in Aus

Was hoping Olly would be a bit higher, like the 40s. And as for Carly Rae Jepsen and Gotye... are those songs finishing 1 yr anniversaries on the BB100? (or almost there?!)

All Around The World is the next single though...

"** 98 Justin Bieber - As Long As You Love Me (Acoustic) (NEW)"

It seems odd this wouldn't have just been added to the original songs total as technically this is just another version of it? Anyone know the reasoning behind it? It it because the majority of the songs sales were for the acoustic version?

Billboard have no changed their rules, so songs aren't going to be combined anymore unless they're very similar I guess. They didn't combine Scream & Shout with its remix either, even though they've combined drastically different versions of songs before.

Well, if it is, they'll have to change it! Right Here debuted at #49 on the rhythmic chart today:

41. Tyga ft. Rick Ross - Dope - 626

42. Young Jeezy ft. 2 Chainz - RIP - 619

43. Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man - 540

44. Far East Movement ft. Cover Drive - Turn Up the Love - 479

45. Watch the Duck - Poppin' Off - 350

46. Drake - Started From the Bottom - 326

47. Keyshia Cole - Trust and Believe - 322

48. Rihanna ft. Future - Loveeeeeee Song - 318

49. Justin Bieber ft. Drake - Right Here - 301

50. Pitbull ft. Christina Aguilera - Feel This Moment - 285

With such high radio airplay, his label would be stupid to ignore it. 301 spins, I'd be surprised if All Around the World even has 100. Plus, it sounds pretty similar to Beauty and a Beat tbh, his label might want to spice things up.

So would that stop people like Katy Perry releasing a 'remix' just to try and get another #1?

No. Katy Perry's remixes would be combined, since they're almost identical to the originals, they're usually just an extra rap verse (although maybe some of her dance remixes/acoustic versions might get seperated if they're very different).

And sorry, but lmao at you thinking Katy Perry is the only person to use remixes.

Back in the mid-00s, if they did it like this, people like Cascada, DHT and DJ Sammy would've never hits in the US, they had such big hits because they had the dance version and the piano ballad versions combined.

I didn't say I thought Katy Perry was the only person ever to use remixes. I was using her as a recent example.

But what criteria are Billboard using, I'd have said an acoustic version was similar enough.

Silvio Pietroluongo, Billboard’s Director of Charts, telling Paul Grein why Scream & Shout's remix sales weren't merged with the original:

".. a remix needs to contain enough elements of the original recording, either music or lyrics, to be merged. Another requirement is that the lead artist(s) on the original cannot become secondary vocalists on the new remix. In this case it fails on both accounts. Having other vocalists singing/rapping verses while solely maintaining elements of the chorus is not sufficient.”

'Poetic Justice' and 'Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe' slaying :D Hope the former gets a UK single release, it's probably his best chance of getting anything off 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' top 40, on Drake's name alone. Also one of the best songs on the album though.
How is calvin number 10 but yet not been top 10 at any pointeither on itunes or radio? Fustrating not to see don't you worry child break the top 5
