Both deserved modern-day classics so I didn't mind which one won. 'We Found Love' is an undoubtedly deserving winner.

I'm loving 'We Found Love' SO much more these days than when it was first around. I always dismissed it as generic, but I've really come to appreciate what a masterpiece it is of late.

'Umbrella' is a total classic, definitely the song that put her on the map as a true force to be reckoned with.

'Umbrella' really is the song that kick started her global success. She was always pretty successful, but she was in danger of becoming "just another generic, R&B, pop chick" after her second era, but there's something about 'Umbrella' that made me think, she is going to be a true star. It was going to go this way or the way of the likes of Ciara/Cassie and I'm so happy it was the former. It still sounds so good to this day!

'We Found Love' is a definite, future classic. It's so timeless and although it's similar to a lot of Calvin's other stuff (as in, you can tell it's produced by Calvin and no one else), there's something about it which stops it from being a complete carbon copy/reinterpretation of his other stuff (similarly to David Guetta's 'Titanium'.)

Great countdown and write-ups guys. Although it took it's time, I'm pleased it wasn't left incomplete! :P Still loving the fact 'Stay' managed to finish top 4

Little bit of an overrated winner and not REALLY deserving of an average over 10... I only gave it a 9. Where Have You Been is better (great to see that at #3 but again not even sure that was deserving of being up SO high). I'm not really sure time has been that kind to We Found Love. It's fantastic but among such a stunning discography it pales next to all the other gems there.

Umbrella though, full credit to that, love how it really kickstarted her career, even if it's not really her signature track anymore.

"Rihanna (ft. Jay-Z)"

:kink:

And YAY what an amazing Top 3 even if none of them got my 11.

I'd say it still very much is her signature track. The fact that it is called 'Umbrella' and it is a record-breaking single will ensure that it'll always be her signature track.

Excellent winner, although how What's My Name failed to make the top five is beyond me. Both are in my all time top 50.
