For this to work i think Leona needs to transform songs in the style she did with Run. Run was excellent as was the original, she made it sound like a whole new song that is what i believe she needs to do with these chritsmas covers.

Leona has just confirmed she has started recording for the album and said it is planned to be released around christmas time!

 

Well I should hope so, being a Christmas album and all ...

 

Such a shame Glassheart isn't seeing a release, but maybe someone will cover it along the line.

December 2nd! 11 weeks to go! Exciting stuff! It's going to be a very competitive week, hope Leona gets the exposure she deserves, fingers crossed. A Christmas single is being sent to radio in November, wonder if it'll be an original or cover...

Beginning of December is quite late for a release date. There will only be 4 weeks of potentially high sales, that's if it does well which I'm not expecting it to.

Leona is headed home to the UK today for a busy week of photo shoots and interviews for the new album. Make sure you check both Facebook and Twitter over the next few days to get all the behind the scenes action! Leona HQ

Actually 4 :P But ye, it really isn't much time at all.

 

Perhaps they have a promo blitz ready and waiting in the wings to shove Leona down everyone's throat in order to get the album to sell? It will be interesting to see how it does. I'm not too bothered about how it sells though.

Leona did a Q&A on twitter not long ago and we got some info!

 

1. Leona shot the album cover yesterday

2. The lead single is an uptempo song

3. "Oh Holy Night" is on the album

4. Her favourite Christmas song is "Winter Wonderland", so might be on the album

5. She's shooting the video for the lead single in a couple of weeks

6. Leona has TV performances at the end of October

Surely we should be hearing something soon? Most of the other Christmas album releases have had their tracklistings released already! Hopefully we'll get a tracklisting and single by the end of the month!
