I agree.

It's friggin annoying. Justin Timberlake sells 90,000 albums in a whole week and is an amazing runaway superstar success according to the press.

Robbie sells 55,000 in a day ( on an album with absolutely no UK promotion) and is a failure?

I don't get this.

Critics know jack. ^_^ All the stuff they usually hype and say is brilliant always performs rubbish. Usually when critics slate something it doesn't end up doing too badly if they are a mega superstar so yeah. I think Rudebox will have played a part in low sales as a lot of people hated it but I think once Lovelight gets more and more airplay the album sales will rocket through the roof again. ^_^
The sales on Buzzjack are amazing anyway. Half the Site seems to have bought a copy.

55,000 is pretty good for an album which has had very little promotion, and is following on from an album, that died a death in the UK after Xmas 2005, due to the word of mouth getting around that it was not that special.

I reckon by the end of 2007 Rudebox will have sold more than IC in the UK.

What a b****y relief ! :yahoo:

That's fantastic news, I'm well pleased. Typical that the press have to mention sales are much lower than IC's in its first week, but who cares. Rob will have another no. 1 album  which counts most to me right now, and a big F*** YOU to all the haters. :P

I'm still hoping Rob will do some sort of gig where he plays material from the new album live, I think that could help boosting sales. And of course some decent promo, but I'm afraid if we rely on EMI for that we will be let down -_-

Let's hope word will spread what an amazing album this is. Go Rudebox ! :cheer:

Fantastic album that puts Robbie back at the top where he belongs. Dont know what some idiotic critics are listening to. That bloke in the Daily Star is one of the worst culprits. He seems to hate Robbie. Maybe the last song should have been dedicated to him.

I agree Gremley. I'm beginning to think half these critics have listened to a different album.

Or are they so full of 'Robbie Hate' they were going to print that it was rubbish no matter what it sounded like?

I'm guessing the latter. Dickheads the lot of them. :P

We're The Pet Shop Boys, is better than the original
I agree Mikey. I think Kiss Me is better too. But not Louise ( I prefer the Human League's version of that one)

I never heard the original of We're the PSB but I like this version ^_^

I perfer his version os Louise by a mile simply because I find the original sounds very dated. This version, both the music and Rob's voice sound great. The songs itself is a classic

I dont remember the original to we're the pet shop boys either

Robbie sings louise really well, I like both versions

I don't like We're the Pet Shop Boys too much... http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/midi/konfus/c062.gif
I've listened to the album today :) I'm going to be honest and say that it's not my cup of tea :( (I perfer Intensive Care)

i agree 100 %,but i love rudebox too...it's just...i don't know...i hope that next album will be like IC or Escapology...with songs like feel, come undone and HOT FUDGE

but i LOVE Rudebox too

I agree with you two

IC and Escapology were much better...but this one's special and will hold a special place in my heart!

There are some excellent songs on this album!

yes...and i think that rudebox is on his place...it's good to do something new

Yep! And Robbie said it was not for the fans, the public, the critics...It's for him and him alone. It's the music he likes and doesn't give a sh*t if they're gonna like it or not
