chemical romance were never gonna outsell Robbie anyway ;).

so

1st day 55k

2n day 20k

sales are not hot compared to his previous albums, but still he will have solid sales around 175k-200k by sunday.

I'm just interested to see how this album will do in the long run.

I think this one is going to hang around in the top five for quite a long time personally and overall will sell more than IC. Of course when the likes of The Beatles, Oasis and U2 release he'll be knocked off #1 but I think he'll be hanging around and sell a consistant amount considering the promotion is going to start AFTER the album is released.

Will he ? Are you assuming or do you know that for sure?

I think so far there aren't any dates, not that I know of.

I'm still hoping Rob will do some proper promotion for it, especially perform some of those album tracks live, he needs to get them out there. A lot of people (fans even) still need convincing.

I have to admit after the first joy about the album heading for no. 1 I am a bit worried about the sales figures.

But I think we all know why they are much lower compared to his usual standards, there are quite a few factors to be taken into consideration which have already been named.

Like others I still have hope though that the album could do well in the long run, hopefully people will realize that not the whole album sounds like the Rudebox single (which is a major problem imo). -_-

The album has now sold 108K. I am hoping that's just for Mon, Tue and Wed cause no midweeks came yesterday. If it includes Thursday as well then I will not be pleased. That would mean in 4 whole days it still has'nt sold what IC sold in the first day

Me neither.

I'm not very confident sales will reach 200 000 by the weekend as has been predicted on Monday.

Do these sales figures already include downloads or not ? But that wouldn't make such a big difference, right?

No, they don't include download as far as I am aware but downloads for albums is only a very small percentage in the album chart unlike the singles <_<

I see, thanks. Well, probably that's not so bad in this case because Rudebox is not no. 1 on uk itunes anyway, he's behind MCR there right ?

At the beginning of the week I was just happy the album is heading for no. 1 and I told myself not to

care much about the sales figures. I don't now what happened to that... right now I just feel a bit frustrated, can't help it. :(

I think we all knew he wouldn't sell his usual over 300k, but having sold only slightly over 100 k by midweek does worry me a bit. :puke2:

Just found out that it was up till Thursday :(

You mean including Thurdsday then... ?

I guess we'll be lucky if sales reach 150 000 by Sunday.

Well Saturday is the busiest day for sales I think and he has today as well but I am still very annoyed. It serves EMI right though. What do they expect

Hopefully Robbie is looking at the longer picture with RB as unlike IC there are easily another 4 or 5 potential singles to come (She's Madonna, Keep On, The 80's, Viva Life On Mars, The 90's, Good Doctor).

Please remember that although Intensive Care sold well to begin with, it dropped like a stone down the album charts after Xmas 2005. I will be amazed if the same thing happens with RudeBox.

Yes, I am hope you are right. IC has'nt sold a huge amount so far in 2006, but has sold nearly 1.7 million. I hope Rudebox can sell more cause as you say it has some brilliant potential singles. I doubt it will outsell IC worlwide though as IC sold nearly 7 million worlwide.

I wish Robbie and EMI had've timed this better though and released lovelight first as well as doing some promo :(

The album is CD of the week and is only £6.99 on CDWOW :o :o :o

It's also #1 of course ^_^

I'm perturbed. <_<

If they bloody included the likes of CDWOW in the sales then he would have sold sooooo much more

I mean My Chemical Romance are only #8 on CDWOW

He is definatly #1 in Germany if he got 600,000 pre-orders. Not sure about the others  Ireland does'nt matter that much since you only have to sell a few thousand -_-
