Where do you get the release dates from?

Sorry thought the impact date was 16th June because its 5 weeks after it was added to the playlist - the reality is it doesnt have an official release, just an impact date

Goodness didnt think radio 1 would support her, great to see. She could get playlisted this week :)

Im not purposely trying to make them up, the reality is that alot of artists that dont care about their chart position dont have official release dates and just get airplay so i gave a impact date according to when its playlisted (like one of the yrs biggest hits - All of Me by JohN Legend). I wont put any date unless its offical (or has an EP release) in future so as not to confuse people :)

Yeah that's fair enough, only list impact/release dates if they're official!

 

Is it really a surprise that R1 are likely to support Ella? I'd have been surprised if they didn't. I mean, the BBC considered the announcement of its release big enough news to be mentioned on their hourly Newsbeat updates :P

I'm not at all shocked that R1 are supporting Ella - it's a perfectly credible song for them to play, written by Ryan Tedder, and they tend to support most high-profile X Factor releases, at first anyway (I'm sure Carry You by Union J got c-listed, although none of their other singles got supported).

If shes popular with the general public and it isnt bubble gum pop radio 1 have no problem supporting it!

Ghost deserves to be huge, really hope Radio 1 gets behind it in a big way!

I'd say it's probably a week too early for Example and Duck Sauce yet as they're not out until 23rd June. Would be surprised if they support Sky Ferreira, although they might one day. Agree with the rest though, and a few additional ones:
