This is interesting on Radio 1 playlisting (assuming policy hasnt changed)... http://www.nme.com/news/muse/68574

So Playlist C should get 1 play a day. Funny cos Ella Henderson Ghost, for instance, has had zero plays in 5 days since being added last Thurs!

But hey a few days left still.... Will be interesting if that stays on the list if they arent playing it!!

As Joe said it comes into effect on a Monday - and I heard Ghost on Greg James' show today :). The one play a day thing is a generalisation - sometimes they may get several plays a day if they are the TOTD for instance. Also the week before release a b list song that is released the following Sunday will get its peak plays and may get as many as some on the Alist which are passed their peak week of plays.

Gecko (Overdrive) [Radio Edit] - Oliver Heldens & Becky Hill 22/6/14

Hopefully this should move up a bit now :)

5 Seconds of Summer Dont Stop 15/6/14

Maverick Sabre Emotion 29/6/14

It's called Bottled Up Tight, if it's the same one that was out last year getting a re-release? Where did you get that release date from though? I've got 22/06?

I'm guessing you mean Beyoncé's 'Pretty Hurts' rather than 'Partition'? :)

Also, why would they add David Guetta now, surely it's been and gone a couple of months ago? As you say its release date was 7th April!

My predictions are:

Peace - Money

Skepta feat. JME - That's Not Me

5 Seconds Of Summer - Don't Stop

Usher - Good Kisser

Beyoncé - Pretty Hurts

Duck Sauce - NRG

Oliver Heldens x Becky Hill - Gecko (Overdrive)

Luke Sital-Singh - Bottled Up Tight

Yeah sorry getting the Beyonce single mixed up due to the non playlisting of partition. In relation to the luke Sital Singh song it was released as a EP on iTunes on the 14/4 but there was word they were taking it off again and putting a pre order on . Theres a wee discussion about it on the New Releases thread from yesterday.

I just think Bad may be added because it has held on for a good while between 30-50 in the chart as airplay has grown & 'sometimes' they make random additions. It was an OA/OS release so theres no stopping any station from playing it whenever.

Just checked iTunes again there and the 14/4 EP has been removed and replaced with a single release for Bottled Up Tight for 22/6/14  Just as well i purchased my copy yesterday before the record company put the restrictions on!!

Interesting insiders information about how the playlist is chosen for Radio 1...

www.theguardian.com/media/2014/may/25/radio-1-playlist-secrets-uncovered-battle-of-brands

That is quite interesting, although I thought it might have uncovered a few more secrets. It's nice to have some clarification on the age issue. Oh dear at this quote though 'Lily Allen's Our Time… we can come off that too, it hasn't done as well as anyone hoped, including, I'm sure, Lily and the label. The album is being sold for 99p online", to which a couple of people "Aww!"'
It's a lot more 'branding' focused instead of the quality of the actual music like I thought it was... meh.

It didn't used to be like that, it was from about 2005 onwards that they started getting harsher with their 'brand' thing. I liked the playlist back then as it was diverse and it was a lot more fair, it's just literally flavours of the month these days.
Anyone able to fill in the track of the days since Friday for me? I've been away all weekend?

I'm not sure if they would of had any as they've been covering the big weekend for the past few days. I maybe wrong though.

I thought that ESP as I heard a bit of radio yesterday! Thanks anyway.
