June 1, 201312 yr That cover - really? I don't care about the visuals, she can do better than that! Have you seen the cover for Stay? Right Now's is so much better.
June 1, 201312 yr I really don't know what she's doing to do for the next album. She's got through this era with some terrible songs and single choices (apart from Stay) and I'm really interested to see where's she going to go with her music from now on. She doesn't need to release another club banger though, it's slowly going out of fashion and she can do better than that.
June 3, 201312 yr But it's always the same for Rihanna, she has that big lead single to the era and a semi-success second single. The rest appears as a stroke of luck, with lack of commitment or promotion from her. Just look at the release of "Pour It Up"... MESSAY (and the song could've been huge!)
June 8, 201312 yr Author I have a feeling this song might not be the big hit I was expecting. It doesnt appear to be making much of an impact at present but I guess time will tell.
June 9, 201312 yr It's got a month until release yet and there's still a video to come (presumably). I'm still expecting the fleeting top 15 hit I've predicted all along.
June 14, 201312 yr I imagine this will be the big budget video of this era like how Where Have You Been was for TTT. Is that sarcasm? 'We Found Love' had a bigger budget.
June 14, 201312 yr Also, for the record: 'Pour It Up' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 'Right Now' Urban RiRi is far better than Dance RiRi in this case.
June 14, 201312 yr Is that sarcasm? 'We Found Love' had a bigger budget. Really? WFL obviously had a better storyline (and thus was better-received), but it didn't look like it had that big a budget.
June 14, 201312 yr Also, for the record: 'Pour It Up' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 'Right Now' Urban RiRi is far better than Dance RiRi in this case. gurrrll.... i thought i was the only one on that ship.
June 14, 201312 yr Really? WFL obviously had a better storyline (and thus was better-received), but it didn't look like it had that big a budget. Wasn't WHYB just shot in front of a green screen for the majority of it? gurrrll.... i thought i was the only one on that ship. Definitely not. Loads of people I know also rate 'Pour It Up' as the highlight of Unapologetic while disregarding 'Right Now' as generic pop crap. I think it is just Buzzjack that love 'Right Now'. :P
June 14, 201312 yr 'Right Now' is pretty unoriginal and uninspiring, but 'Pour It Up' is intolerable. :puke: Edited June 14, 201312 yr by Silver Rocket
June 14, 201312 yr I've not seen much praise for 'Right Now' on here (rightfully so, too - definitely one of her weaker singles) so I don't think it's "just Buzzjack that loves it" (People on here seem to think for it's genericness, it's alright OR it's "generic shit") 'Pour It Up' is nothing special either. There are far better tracks on 'Unapologetic' than those two, imo.
June 19, 201312 yr I'm still kind of sad they went with this as a single. I hope they are going to push it properly so it can actually do something though, to make up for 'Pour It Up' criminally underperforming. (It still sounds amazing now and I actually heard it out a couple of weeks ago). 'Right Now' just feels so watered down and nothingy and generic... I really wish they had gone with 'No Love Allowed', 'Lost In Paradise' or a completed version of 'Love Without Tragedy' (I'm STILL waiting for this to happen.) I think she needs to go away, maybe heavily promote a greatest hits and then have an album full of charismatic hits with a Rihanna twang on them. On the flip side, I do really like the artwork.
