May 26, 201312 yr This would help them get high on charts right...thru radio airplay. Also we have more people listen to it thru our requests. This is a different strategy...i suppose.
May 26, 201312 yr I'm surprised no ones come to conclusion that their US (and worldwide) promotion was merely for the show.
May 26, 201312 yr I'm surprised no ones come to conclusion that their US (and worldwide) promotion was merely for the show. It was ALL for the show lol. E! being a better management team than their actual team. Would you ever imagine?
May 26, 201312 yr It was ALL for the show lol. E! being a better management team than their actual team. Would you ever imagine? LOOL thats what I was getting at  All this "they should really go back and do radio tours" is just pointless in retrospect.
May 26, 201312 yr I'm surprised no ones come to conclusion that their US (and worldwide) promotion was merely for the show. Yeah but the song got sent to radio worldwide as well so they were clearly wanting the music to take off. The problem was they thought the show would be massive and the song would be a hit by itself. It's a joke. They were telling us that 2013 would be world domination and there'd be lots of singles and it was non stop action etc. It's approaching June, halfway through the year and *all* they've done is two weeks of American promo in January, some radio interviews in France, some photoshoots and one single release.
May 26, 201312 yr tbh I think for the girls career personally, 2013 has been big for them, they finally got their first number 1 and with an amazing first weeks sale. I know they haven't done much promo but at least they can say 'Well we got our first number 1 with record breaking sales!'
May 26, 201312 yr Some of you guys act as though all they have done is pathetic. They have done really REALLY well so far considering that rochelle (was) and Frankie (is) preggers this year. They are not the same age as little mix and have a more responsibility to themselves than for their fans and careers right now.
May 26, 201312 yr How do we even know that it was sent to radios? It doesn't need I have been sent to be getting rotation.
May 27, 201312 yr The officials charts finally corrected them selves saying naughty boy has the biggest first week sales of the year, putting the sats to number 2. there seems to be a running theme for first number one single for an artist thus year!! :)

May 27, 201312 yr No cause it sold 101k (i think) in its first week before doing 144k the next week so i dont think it counts

May 27, 201312 yr Author Nope, it's still the exact same price. I have no idea, maybe the fact that it would have been played on the top 40 charts would have benefited them.
May 27, 201312 yr Gentleman is rising again in Ireland, so probably looking to break the top 40 by tomorrow Nd land another week top 40 on Friday. Fingers crossed. If things go the same way as last week, they'll start rising on UK iTunes from tonight amd break the top 40 midweek and take another week top 40 :)
May 27, 201312 yr It's funny though. How the song always gets out of the top 40 to get back in the middle of the week and snatch a place in the top 40 on Sunday.
May 27, 201312 yr #20 in New Zealand now. :o #689 for pre-orders of 'Gentleman'. :( Oops. #654 for 'What About Us' in US Pop iTunes. :(
