April 2, 201312 yr I wouldn't be too bothered about the fastest number one single of the year as it was always going to be beaten. The record is beaten very regularly and as the year goes by, the record will only get higher until the peak of the xfactor winner, who sell records rangling from 200-300k in one week. Its best just to say that they got the record once, since no one has ever been able to retain the position for very long
April 2, 201312 yr Need U had sold 39k up to the first midweek (today). The Sats had already done 52k. Might be close but I think the girls may just hold on to the title! Yeah they might end up on 100k too, but I heardly see them beating the 114k record of The Saturdays. Actually, I'm calling it. They won't take the record away from the girls.
April 2, 201312 yr They are increasing on iTunes (they are #3 even without the second version now) and Justin is now #2, PJ&Duncan are #4. But kworb hasn't been updated yet, so I don't know the numbers. We all know P!nk is probably #2 with her tree versions and therefore The Saturdays are #3 (they are beating Justin because of their second version). It would be amazing if they could have another week at #3.

This should be #4 at the very lowest come Sunday (unless the song starts to plummet in typical Sats fashion) and #3 if P&D fall fast enough, which I believe will happen. 1-3-3 would be incredible!
April 2, 201312 yr It would indeed be amazing. I think it's clear that we can expect 5 or more weeks in the top 10. It wouldn't surprise me if it does a Bruno/Bastille and stick around the 7-10 for a few weeks. The airplay is still good (although Justin is having twice as more airplay than them!).
April 3, 201312 yr Author Oh, What About Us is out in Germany in 2days! On Your Radar is also on the iTunes banner for being £4.99 Chasing The Saturdays EP #15 Egypt #17 Lebanon On Your Radar #75 Ireland
April 3, 201312 yr Wish Justin would fall and let them move upto #2. I thought they were close to overtaking him?
April 3, 201312 yr Ah, how far ahead is he now? I hope they can hold steady at #3 on iTunes for Sunday if they can't get to #2. :) Edited April 3, 201312 yr by Encore
April 3, 201312 yr US Pop iTunes - #513 New Zealand - #43 UK - #3 and #80 Nelly is about to knock them down to #4, though.
April 3, 201312 yr Author Their iTunes run in Australia is incredibly weird, they were #267 last night and have climbed to a new peak of #148. What About Us #3 United Kingdom #7 Ireland #16 Cyprus #42 New Zealand #48 Sri Lanka #54 Bermuda #68 Dominican Republic #88 United Kingdom #109 Ireland #112 Mexico #129 Malta #145 Egypt #148 Australia #157 United Arab Emirates #195 South Africa #208 Ghana #244 Norway #244 Paraguay #303 Azerbaijan #325 Netherlands #348 Peru
April 3, 201312 yr So is their Cyprus run. It went up to #2 on monday, then fell to #22 and then rose to #5 yesterday and fell to #23 and its climbing again
April 3, 201312 yr That's because in those smaller countries it'll only take 2/3 sales to result in a big jump due to the fact that Australia and Cyprus are much smaller countries (population wise). So if in Cyprus WAU jumped from 22 to 5 that means 6 people could have all decided to purchase it within the 10mins, same with Australia but obviously they're much lower down the chart that's why it pretty much mirrors Cyprus's situation.
April 3, 201312 yr It only need 70,000 copies sold to go platinum in Australia. Granted but the ARIA really should update their certification requirements. Case in point, Kelly Clarkson's Stronger (single) peaked at #18 but went on to be certified 2 x Platinum. Britney's Hold It Against Me peaked at #4 but spent 12 weeks on chart; still enough for Platinum though. :) And Tim; Australia is a large land mass but it's not densely populated like the USA. :) Edited April 3, 201312 yr by MyDecember
April 3, 201312 yr OMG is it really 112 in Mexico? That's huge :) I would love to see the girls with a Gold record for WAU <3
