July 2, 201312 yr being saturdays fan is annoying, they are flop since their debut album OYR era was awful handled, and this is shaping to be even worse, every 3 months someone's pregnant , they release album after single 3 and then era is over... i'm not here for another "album" with bunch of mediocre songs that their team wanted...
July 2, 201312 yr I just want the album already. Two years betwern an album for a pop group is a long time and a risky move. Thing is, they were rapidly declining into obscurity before What About Us gave them a second breath of life into their career. It completely turned around their airplay, TV support, perception and of course gave them much more sales and exposure than ever. It completely saved them after the OYR/30 Days shambles and now it looks like Gentleman has already ruined it!
July 2, 201312 yr Not really, I think itll do fine. A lot of you seem to be forgetting that just because a single messes up, an album doesn't have to fail too. Emeli Sande had Heaven which peaked at #2. But then released Daddy which peaked at #21, followed by an album release and then another single 'Next to me' to accompany it, before getting a brit award. That didn't fail because of Daddy and in all fairness, On your radar's ads wernt as nearly shown as Headline's advert was shown on TV, so it had less exposure. Pixie lott released Broken Arrow and that went to #12 before her re-release which went to #9 and sold 400k copies on the single alone. Paloma Faith has had no great single performance and yet her album's gone multi-platinum just because she regularly releases singles and it revives her album back into the top 100. I don't think it's the end of the world and in all fairness, OYR would've lasted much longer if it had a better planned release (not in a Christmas rush). Edited July 2, 201312 yr by vivek
July 2, 201312 yr On your radar would have lasted longer with another single. A better single. MHTO underperformed and that led to the album doing poorly. Had they gone with All Fired Up, Faster Or White lies, just before the album, the album probably would have faired better
July 2, 201312 yr So Gentleman was supposed to give What About Us a boost...Now it's #104 on iTunes. GENTLEMAN IS CURSED.
July 2, 201312 yr It is #12 now. This is all so wrong, can we just be in October already? I want the third single and the album.
July 2, 201312 yr see on their Facebook page? What's with the random people they keep tagging on their posts?!
July 2, 201312 yr Part of an interview. The giles were obviously talking crap!! . The Saturdays chat Gentleman, kids and a move to Country Music With The Saturday's new single, Gentleman having just been released, we caught up with the girls to ask them a few questions. Rochelle is back from her maternity leave, just before Frankie leaves for hers. However, we get to chat to all five girls about the single, the new album, nappy changing practice for Frankie and giving Country Music a go... Q: Gentleman's out at the end of this month. Having scored your first No 1 with What About Us (congratulations, by the way), are you nervous about how Gentleman will perform in the charts? Frankie: We're actually really calm about the whole thing. We've had the number one with What About Us which was SO exciting. But it seems our fans really love Gentleman it's had the most overwhelmingly positive response out of ALL the singles we've ever released so that's what makes us really happy. July 3, 201312 yr I agree with everything 2nd adventure says. if you really believe everything that you just said your clearly not a fan... or atleast that's how it sounds. Edited July 3, 201312 yr by jsg2013
July 3, 201312 yr And if you think you need to be a fan of an artist with commercial success then hop on the many bandwagons that plague the internet.
July 3, 201312 yr I didn't get that post either lol. You hardly sound like a fan of them if all you care about is success and whether they're flopping or not and belittle them the minute they're not doing great. Surely the music comes first... Anyway, they should just reduce Gentleman to 59p since they are close to top 10. Surely they don't want to miss out on a top 10 peak (especially after a #1) when they have a chance to do it if they reduce it? Especially for a pre-album single... sure it's not going to do well after this week but adding another top 10 to their collection would save face a little. Well, not save face, but look better than a top 20. Edited July 3, 201312 yr by Encore
July 3, 201312 yr Especially since My Heart Takes Over and Work had really good reasons to flop, Gentleman doesn't. It needs to be #10 (because it won't go any higher than that...)
July 3, 201312 yr Hurricane!!!! I'm offended!! :snif: MHTO did not gave any reason to flop!!! :snif: It's probably the most beautiful track they've released. Not to mention the video. I think it's ONE of my favourites!!! :snif:

I think it's ONE of my favourites!!! :snif: No I meant, it was a busy time, with a lot of releases, the airplay was awful, TV or radio wise, etc. They only had the promo right. Plus, there's a chance people that wanted to buy it, waited and bought the album instead. Gentleman? It has better airplay than MHTO although it's still shitty, but June is a good time to release things. One of their biggest part of their competition was moved forward (Icona Pop), they just had a number one, it's a pre-album single... Why isn't it in the top 10? This is my new Popjustice avatar and I'm not ashamed. http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/401565mollieembarassing.gif
