Laura Marling's 4th album, Once I Was An Eagle, is set to be released on the 27th May. Where Can I Go, the first single from the album, has also been premiered:

I'm not expecting it to be massive but I hope at the very least the single can go top 40 as she's never had one do so before, and maybe the album could go top 3 and become her highest peaking? Either way I'm really looking forward to this one, her last two albums are really strong.

Alas I Cannot Swim is absolutely outstanding - it was my #1 album of 2008 after all! Can't say the same about the two follow-up albums... and sadly about this song. :(
Quite interested in this, she's got some fantastic songs, especially Devil's Spoke, New Romantic and Goodbye England (Covered in Snow). The last album was a decent listen to, I think it was my favourite as a whole although none really stood out to me bar Sophia which I knew beforehand.
Devil's Spoke is just.... wow  I Speak Because I Can in general was an great album, but I never really got into A Creature I Don't Know in anywhere near the same way! Looking forward to this nonetheless.

This seems to be getting glowing reviews everywhere! I haven’t liked any of her previous material really but I might give it a go. Has anyone listened to it yet?

Haven't heard the whole album yet but Master Hunter is all kinds of amazing:

Just bought the album, was a little hesitant after being thoroughly disappointed by 'I Speak Because I Can' and 'A Creature I Don't Know' but so far it is vastly superior to either of those two. Will take a few more listens to see if it lives up to the excellent 'Alas I Cannot Swim' but it sure looks like Laura's back on form :D!
I'm really liking this, reminds me of Janis Ian / Joni Mitchell which is no bad thing at all...

So, make this about 4 tracks shorter and it would be a contender for album of the year for me. Adore it.
