I am not sure if I am the only one who thinks this, but have you noticed since Rochelle went away on maternity leave Una and Mollie have improved on their live vocals tremendously?
I think the main reason the group have sounded weak when singing together live recently is because Rochelle hasn't been there. I bet when she comes back the group will sound extremely strong again.

Well when the member who got the best voice in the group is gone, you're kinda have to step up your shit. Mollie and Una did, that's pretty much it. :P

About pushing back a week...If you're talking airplay wise. Believe me, it won't do anything. Radios will just slow down the airplay a bit since the track isn't getting released until another week. BUT, competition-wise, it might help them a lot, yes. But as the girls said, they don't feel any pressure, so they won't push back anything.

Still, they could do radio tours.

that kind of attitude is probably why they havn't done radio tours though.. they arnt arsed anymore. they did what they always wanted to do.. have a #1.
Yeah but do many established artists even do radio tours any more? Five years into their career i don't think they need to whore themselves around Capital and Radio 1 for airplay.

Of course they don't need too, but even a visit to Radio1 and Capital would maybe help increase the airplay, they've got momentum following 'What About Us' and if 'Gentleman' manages to pass 200,000... I fully believe this album could be their second most successful behind 'Chasing Lights'.

Promotion is going to be incredibly vital for 'Gentleman' and their album campaign, hopefully they start doing some album signings! Damn Saturdays' and their pregnancies although I doubt Frankie's going to be missed much.

Signings are going to be very much needed. Hopefully they've got at least one 'big' TV slot but there aren't many big rating primetime shows on at the moment. Chat shows like Graham Norton would be a good coup I guess along with their usual.

I'm sure they'll go in for some interviews at Capital and Radio 1 nearer the time like they did for WAU.

It'll be nice to see some television interviews following the fact they've got their first number 1 too. And finally their album commercial will state "including their huge #1 What About Us". :D
I don't see why people say Frankie won't be missed much. Yes vocally she is one if not the weakest vocalist in the group. However in the public eye Frankie is still the star of the band and generates a great interest in the band.
Frankie isn't even a weak vocalist; she's a soprano - her tone is too whiny in a sense but when she is belting out she sounds very good. I love her vibrato, especially in Keep Her. Her lower register is quite weak and she struggles with it whereas you have Mollie who's range is polarised but she makes good use of it and doesn't ever sound out of tune. (forget the Work performance )
The instrumental of 'Gentleman' is being used in the trailer for 'Chasing the Saturdays' on 4Music. That's a form of exposure I suppose, albeit minimal. Any TV dates announced yet?

I feel like this b-side is going to be full of Una and Frankie.

But we all know it should be a solo track from Quen Rochele.

i'm addicted to this song now and really want it to do well. mollie's line on the chorus is so fierce and i love the rap. it would e a real shame if we ended up going back the 'top ten then plummet' formula. :(
