Solid. I'd say 3/5. Lots to love, Becky in particular. But some bits were a bit too silly like

Octopus driving

. It did pull on the heart strings a bit but it felt somewhat 'done' before, I didn't feel like it wow'd me.

Noo I loved that part! And the

truck falling into the water in slow motion

, possibly my favourite bit  Along with the whole Sigourney Weaver stuff.

I'd give it 9/10, can't really pick any faults other than the ideas not being totally original. The whole thing is cute but baby Dory was just adorable and the new characters were all great. Lots of heart and emotion and I'm really wanting to see it again already.

Some nice throwbacks to Finding Nemo and make sure you stay until right at the very end!!

Just got back from viewing this. Absolutely LOVED it! Agreed with the general consensus that it didn't feel particularly original, but it was unique and different enough (very similar in that sense to the first 2 'Toy Story' movies)! I wanted to cry about 5 times. SO HEARTWARMING/BREAKING!

Baby Dory needs to be STOPPED asap though. I don't think my heart can handle any more!

Just saw this today and it's exactly as good as I expected it to be

Need to re watch Finding Nemo soon too it was probably my favourite movie as a child.

Yeah I really loved this and I was SO NERVOUS because the trailer seemed so limp and 'done before'. The film was gorgeous, heart-wrenching and full of emotion.. - basically a standard Pixar film :P

I cried properly at one point

(when she found the shells on the sea floor </3)

and got choked up at other times. It was also really funny and witty and nostalgic - perhaps another minor niggle, it was almost too nostalgic and couldn't stand on its own legs away from Finding Nemo. But all-in-all, very solid film and a worthy follow up to the first!

Saw it tonight, I'd say fairly good. Didn't blow me away or anything and there wasn't much that didn't feel like a retread of one Pixar movie or the other but enjoyable beats most of the way through.

I did feel the cynical, world-weary octopus character was very relatable.

Yeah, this is the closest to how I feel, I do think the reactions on Buzzjack are generally more positive than everywhere else, where people seem to think it was good fun but far from Pixar's best work.

I'm just really happy that they didn't mess it up as much as the trailers suggested! I really do think its on a level to 'Toy Story 2' and that's in no way a bad thing. Definitely better than 'Monsters Uni'!

This was such a great film! Baby Dory is too much!

The Sigourney Weaver references, was SCREAMING.

Omg this was so good I loved it more than my little cousin did  Baby Dory is too cute and It had proper sad moments too
Shit, I need to watch the English language version of this. Because there was nothing about sigourney in the Russian and Spanish dubbed movies I watched. :(

a good follow-up, not as classic as the original of course (few films are) but a solid 7/10 or so. I liked the new characters, Septopus Hank (my long fave Ed O'Neill of Married With Children fame), the seals (current fave Idris), Becky, and of course any film that has Sigourney Weaver in it I'm going to like (and usually love and adore). I just AM! Plus the obligatory John Ratzenberger.

And, not least, the fab Ellen.

Finally got around to seeing this in the past week. I did enjoy it but I would much rather just re-watch Finding Nemo in the future. I liked that we got a good amount of new characters, all were fairly likeable, especially Hank who is a new fave. I'm also glad that Dory was the main character in this because she's by far the most likeable character in the franchise and it meant we got BABY DORY <3333

However, I just didn't find it as heart-breaking because it felt like she found her parents pretty quickly really without ever thinking they were dead so idk if I'm just heartless but it didn't even feel that sad. I got more out of the humour from this tbh, the Sigourney Weaver joke was amazing!!!

A good film but I do prefer Zootropolis from this year out of Disney's efforts.

bit late but yer this was good. probably one of my least fav pixar movies but that's just cos i hold all the others so highly. better than cars at least.

ia with josh i didn't really feel that sad watching it but the humour was definitely there. yes @ the running sigourney gags 😂

I think this was really built up because finding nemo was so good which kind of led me to unrealistic expectations. I mean it wasn't a bad film at all but I don't think I would jump at the chance to see it again. I agree with the 3/5 because it was a cute film and there was some really funny and emotional bits but it wasn't anything special.
